Still in the Room of Requirement section or with a section of its own?

It is on the front page and is the first forum you see. Restructure was done a while back with this in mind in terms of exposure. I personally don't think it needs its own section.

    A section of its own.

I am not blind. I mean even further front as a section of its own.

Good then you saw it was where I said it was and why it will probably stay there.

So small thought, with small vids on tiktok and imgur being the hot new thing, how hard would it be to implement a gifv or mp4 embed media function?

I didn't want to post a new thread for this as it may not feasible due some programming reason I don't understand.

The DLP search engine sucks. People constantly say 'there's a thread for this 5 years ago, you should have read that first before posting this, haha noob' but the thing is that the search engine sucks really really bad so finding some thread with a similar topic is kinda really really hard. Finding a story or author can be done but lot of other stuff is really tough.

Something I've used is pasting this is in google search - (enter whatever here) site:https://forums.darklordpotter.net . Works really well, and I'm pretty sure google has indexed the entire site so has everything.

So it got me thinking if google lends this to sites. Turns out they do - https://programmablesearchengine.google.com . There are ads but you can pay a few bucks and get no ads. I think. Idk a proper search engine would be great, you don't always have the story id and searching for non story stuff is almost impossible.

There's also https://cse.expertrec.com/ which uses the same thing (google search), charges 9 dollars and is slightly more customizable with ui and stuff.

Idk, this may have been suggested before, but again I couldn't find anything because of the shitty search engine. Even if this might not have search in thread/forum, having it as a second search engine could also be good.

About other fandoms library, I noticed place gets very little traffic. Perhaps rather than splitting by fandom like it is now, consolidating it into single part that shows up under other fandoms library directly might be perhaps good idea. (aside from Almost Reccommended which can stay subforum).

Instead threads can use their current subforum as prefixes. That would be more user friendly I think.
