I wouldn't mind that change, although I would say that Dresden WbA isn't so swamped by posts that it desperately needs splitting up.

Also, if we are splitting it up, maybe a three-way split (Pure Dresdenverse, DF/HP Crossover, and other crossover) would be best. Just picking out one type of crossover while leaving the rest mixed in with pure Dresden fics seems just a bit off.

Speaking of WbA, what ever happened to the talk about letting people edit their posts in WbA indefinitely? It does bug me a bit when I make a couple tweaks to one of my fics/chapters on FFN, and can't update the version on DLP to match it.

It'd be cool if when you clicked a user's name on their post the drop down list included, "Visit X's FF.net profile."

 

That would be convenient. Additionally we could really need the option to ignore someone on that drop down menu. Right now adding someone to your ignore list is needlessly complicated imho, especially considering that many people have nicknames that I can't even pronounce, let alone remember.

Another thing I'd really like is a 'Mark Forums Read' button at the bottom of New Posts. Since the recent thread about New Posts I started using and liking it, however every time that I don't read each post listed there I have to go back to the main page and scroll all the way down to mark them as read.

It's just a minor inconvenience, so if it's anything more than easy to implement this change wouldn't be worth the time and effort.

 

It's still more useful than "Send e-mail to [user]", by an infinite ratio.

A nice feature that FFN has which could improve the threads is a Return to Top button. I use the 100 posts a page thing (as I'm sure many people do), so if there's a long thread, it's quite a bit of scrolling.

This may already have been mentioned but something like karma on reddit where thumb ups on your posts increase your "karma". And have this number be displayed on the left. Oh and a thumbs down option too.

Why the hell would we need this? People with even the most remote degree of intelligence already know who the big guys are on DLP and know to listen to them.

 

Alternatively you could just read their posts and judge the merits of their words.
