Commander Shepard sets out to find one last member for his crew--the latest incarnation of the Magician, a title held by a long line of private warlords, mercenaries and bounty hunters. After gaining the trust of a justicar, breaking a prisoner out of a notorious prison ship, going toe to toe with numerous mercenary groups and infiltrating the residence of one of the most paranoid businessmen in the galaxy, it shouldn't be too hard to convince the man....right?

I'm probably going to be doing another crossover, this time I think with Z:OoT. There's a lot of potential with Shiek or possibly Nabooru, that I want to explore. Either that, I'll dust off one of my unused and unfinished vampire!Harry stories.

 

I will write something, of this I swear.

I have a pretty good idea, actually. It hasn't been done either, so I can either fuck it up to all hell and ruin the very idea of it for future writers, or it could be awesome.

Decided to participate after all, started writing yesterday and I've got about 1.9k words so far. Aiming for at least 50k by the end of the contest, but I don't know if I'll get that far, especially with my other projects. Still, writing is pretty smooth so far. Fic is going to be long, in all likelihood 200k+ words by the end. Ergh.

 

I too, will participate, as this month is Nanowrimo.... and I have an idea....

Actually, can we get a solid answer on the "does it have to be at all HP-related" question? I sorta forgot why I thought my idea was a good one and I have a Dresden-bunny that's been hopping around in my head for half a year (and thus I know it's good), looking for an excuse to escape.

 

Sorry, but while the category is free for all, the fandom isn't. It's still a HP contest and, much like "crossover" was a contest for HP crossovers, this is a contest for any topic within the HP fandom that you feel like.

 

Hey first shot at a fanfiction. I havent been here that long but would it be grand to do the first part of something? Or does it have to have a full finish that youd be able to put a seventeen years later style epilogue on the end? Bout 2000 words done so far an it's been bouncing around the bread pan for a veeeery long time

 

You're perfectly welcome to submit the beginning to an incomplete novel-length story. I'm pretty sure the only restriction in that regard is that you aren't allowed to submit chapters of stories that already exist. (The purpose of the contests is to spur new writing in the fandom.)

lol lovely thanks guys I'll probably be posting it soon but i still have to type it up. Its currently on a number of loose a4 pages so ill do that and get my mate to give it a look over an youll probably see it then. I'm a bit worried about my work rate but with exams on the way sure what can you do?
