DLP Sea Shanty when? We discussed this in the discord and now we put to vote! What song should we all sing? Remember, the more the merrier and the more the less likely we are to hear ourselves.

I’ve already recorded a core with harmonies for this song. It’s on main chat in discord!

I couldn't carry a tune if you put it in a bucket, but this sounds pretty cool.

Gotta go with an actual Shanty rather than something like the Wellerman.

A Drop of Nelson's Blood and Roll the Old Chariot are basically interchangeable, for what it's worth - There are a few different lyrics, and a few in different places if you compare the two, but they're mostly the same.

    Wellerman is all done out.

I'd throw Barrett's Privateers in for consideration in the future too if this turns out popular, although it's long as hell and has a lot of quick lyrics that are pretty hard to get right. Awesome story though, and a true Canadian Navy classic.

Could try and pen an Original Sea Shanty based around the Durmstrang boat seen in GoT. I think thats pretty much the only ship seen in HP. Steal the melody of another shanty and swap the words.

I can’t sing for shit. Literally the worst person I know because not only can I not get on key... half the time I can’t find the key at all to even know where it might be located and attempt to adjust.

Ched I don't even know what a key is let alone how to fail to get on it.

Like any well-run machine, proper lubrication is needed.

Longest Johns ft. Skald did a cover of their version of Santiano, but in French, and then muddled it up a lot. I figured the Sea Shanty thread was most appropriate place
