Okay, since a good few people have expressed interest in a new game, and I want to test my chances again, I've started up a new one for you all. So get in and join.

Winner gets a cookie delivered expressly to them. Cookie may or may not be coated in anthrax.

 

Hmmm - I assume if I win the cookie will definitely be coated with anthrax.

 

Lawl, bought $14,000 of Gazprom stock, which apperently has a market value of 0, so now I'm at $14,000 loss. Fuckin' glitches.

Just bought a very low amount of stock just to poke around and make sure I'm not fucking up.

 

This. Don't know anything about the stock market really, so obviously I'm learning by doing (and in my second language at that).

At least their guide is pretty well written and comprehensible.

Eh - I tried to cancel two apparently pending trades, but it didn't work. Thus I ended up with two stocks buying and shortselling at the same time.

That sounds like a tall order, but considering my example above with Berkshire Hathaway, ShareBuilder allows an amateur investor to put money into the same high quality stocks as professional investors, and at the same proportions. That means that even a small asset base can be structured and built over time to be an incredibly diverse and broad-ranging group of stocks, regardless of share price. Theoretically, you could have a portfolio that literally matches the S&P 500 for a minimum investment of $1440 including commissions (if you had the $1 trade plan) and the minimum allowed $2 purchase. I accidentally sold all my fucking apple stock.... thats what I get for not paying attention. My rank fluctuates wildy, I was ranked high 30's early this morning, lol. Wish I could figure out the short sell, buy to cover and stop loss stuff.
