    Woot, already loosing money.

One of my trades has gone really tits up lol. Thankfully I hardly invested in it at all - $870 - but still. It's just really odd. It's still listed at the same price I bought it for on MarketWatch.com, but VSE lists it at $0. Lol.

Lol, it seems most of us who made some trades today are losing money now.

I'd be well into a profit if not for my -$870 bear.

Now gambling wildly to try to make some of that back, could end up with me -$40k in debt. Lol.

Edit: the time things take to process is really annoying.

    Well I'm in.

This is a competition I guess so no sharing tips? :p

EDIT: Is it only trading stocks or is there some way of trading bonds and commodities as well?

PROTIP: Don't start swapping your money here and there on an hourly basis. What might look like a huge loss in a few hours might be a gain in a few months.

Woot, instantly to the top of the leaderboard. Which means I'm going to fail hard.

My Protip from a complete novice's standpoint would be to spread the risk, but eh, if your company comes up with the cure for Cancer and Aids all wrapped into one, then they maybe we'll see you with a huge profit at the end ;D

I think it's just a shame you can't buy shares from companies lower than a 2.0. That's where the money is made ;D

Yeah I found a wonderfully prospective company for under $2, I wish I coulda bought into it .
And I'm wary of buying into it when it breaks the 2.0 boundary because i'd be unsure whether its nearing peak or not.

I'm in. Certainly sounds interesting, although I'll probably just take some huge risks and end up in huge debt. :)

Heh, only two people who've actually spent their starting 100k are in the green right now, granted in the long run it means nothing, but stll funny.

Well I'm playing with it now... not sure I get the "minimum of 2 dollars" thing, since everything I've tried to buy looks to be under that so far. Actually I'm realizing there is a hell of a lot I don't know about stocks, so this is fun already.

Will edit when I've completed some purchases for the day.

    Edit:
Ok! Just bought a ton of things... but I did Day Trades I think, and I'm not entirely sure how that works. I think it... tries to buy it until the day closes out? I shouldn't have done that. I'll never remember what I picked to purchase if they don't all make it through.

I think I got a good mix of companies I recognize, companies that were only at 2 dollars and that I didn't recognize, different fields, etc.

I didn't even realize you could buy stocks as cheap as a few cents -- I should take 100 bucks or something and play with it this year in the "cheap" stocks. If it works out maybe next year it'll be 1000.

And I don't think I spent nearly all of my 100k... but I quit keeping up with it. I was just buying 50-150 stocks of a ton of things. I should have bumped that up a bit more I think.

I seem to be doing decently. Quite lucky considering I just bought everything that looked cool and have adopted a system of selling everything when it reaches a profit of 400$ because nothing of mine seems to stay up for long...
