Hmm. I still think you're scum, but revelations about the Moridin kill piercing protection (which, while it may seem the most fair solution to the gamemod, is still a contradiction of the rules) and the fact that the Vesvius can still pull off kills, has convinced me that the Vesvius is a) easier to kill than I had thought and b) can't be contained.

    So fine,

    Rescind standard lynch vote.

    Standard lynch vote: Republic21

    I'm still 90% sure you're a Hermonie, though.

Also, this bears repeating, because ahhhhhhhhhh, Castiel could end up owning us all, and THAT MUST NOT HAPPEN.

7:35:32 PM <Lungs|Cloud> though, in NP1, he [the Vesvius] still has a chance to modkill, between his release and his reincarceration

Fuck off - the Asylum states very clearly that it strips away the enumerated powers of the incarcerated. The Moridin is a normal kill, except it's guaranteed to happen who's had his power stripped away - that's why it doesn't propierce the Vesvius.

@Jangel: IT USED TO BE THE LOCHNESS D8

That doesn't make much sense: the Vesvius' protection is part of the Smile's ability set, not the Vesvius'. So even if you strip away all of the Vesvius' abilities, they should still have protection, unless the Smile is also in the asylum. And if they have protection, the Moridin kill, which isn't piercing, should not affect the Vesvius.

Since we're on the topic of rules, I should also mention that the Vesvius' modkill isn't included in the action priority list at all.

But it's whatever. The game mod reserves the right to adjust rules as needed, and that's the way it should be. Lutris changing Azor Azai in HoT1 was needed, for example.

I'm just saying don't imply I'm an idiot/get angry over me making arguments based on what the rules say.

Who said the Moridin kill affected the Vesvius while the Smile is alive?

Vesvius modkill is immediate. When it is declared, it happens as soon as possible - so if it's declared, upon asylum release, it instantly triggers.

Taure, it isn't that asylum affects the Smile protection, it is that the +1 life is separate/'ahead' of the Smile protection. This means that if the Moridin (or any other kill) attempts to kill the Vesvius, it will at least remove that +1 life, daily if needed, until we kill the Smile.

I post this only for the sake of the (non-existent) other players who were not privy to the discussion on IRC.

In the face of no other candidates to lynch at the moment, I'd side with voting for republic. If he's scum, great, if not. We don't have anyone rhyming. >_>

    Lunch Vote: Republic

Regarding suspicion of Jangel, I feel he's clean and he's definitely not the Jon.

Alright, sorry for my absence today people, some irl shit came up but I'll get a full post out early tomorrow.

Some thoughts before I head to bed though:

Of the three major posters so far today I feel as though Taure is coming off as the most town. Ashaya-Jangel might be worth looking into.

As well, metagaming, but fairly certain Vesvius was scum. The fact that he didn't even consider the possibility of himself dying before posting is fairly hefty evidence.

    More to come.

Eh, don't underestimate Taure's ability to argue persuasively. That said, I too believe that he is town at the moment.

I mentioned last round that my gut was insisting that there was something off about Jangel. It may have been right. I still think Republic21 could easily be scum - that or he's just really bad at playing.

I'm going to let more people post before I cast a vote, but this conversation is interesting.

    So, yeah.

You guys might want to know that ALL three hermonies are alive. Why am I telling you? Because I want them dead as much as you do.

And before some genius points it out, YES, I am doing this to divert attention from me. Whether you agree or not, the fact is that focusing on me completely will make you lose this game.

Even if you do focus on me, there is nothing you can do except shut in me asylum and try killing me everyday.

But finding and killing Hermonies at the same time is to your benefit.

Wait, how do we know that, Castiel? I'm not doubting that, it's just that we honestly don't know. Fen could have been a Hermonie, as could Smile.

I really don't know if they were, simply because they were lynched by the Klackerz for no apparent reason, and they didn't talk much. I just don't like how you made a big deal about
you knowing that all of the Hermonies are alive.

Also, the fact that you are worried about our actions tells me that either Vesvius was the Smile, making you vulnerable, or that we are in danger of lynching your Smile, making Republic the Smile. Otherwise, why wouldn't you let us blunder around, mistakenly killing Republic, Jangel, etc, while you sit around invulnerable to kills until late game?

    1) Taure is derping hard and often. I still think he's scum/inattentive.

    2) Gambit's move doesn't make sense. I feared he was the Mishie but rationally discarded it because of the "how" and the "when" he decided to act to get himself lynched. Truly a terrible move.

    3) Seratin/Ser Atin Chin, your role is out in the open and the Vesvius can modkill even if we incarcerate him continuously. Don't you think you should make yourself more useful before you (possibly) die? You're past the "throwing out hints" phase, I believe.

    4) The Aekiel didn't "declare" anyone this past day. Did he choose the most horrible moment to forget about his fairly useless power or was he Vesvius?

    5) The Klackerz' lynch of Smile never made much sense to me. I think he was town and with Gambit the Mishie's lynch, it was probably the Fenraellis that killed Vesvius. This would mean that Fenraellis (the player), who was our (the Klackerz') first lynch, was scum (Hermonie/The Jon). If the Jon is alive, he's holding tightly on his piercing-protection kill, and rightly so from his point of view.

    5) To me, Republic was scummy because of his defense of LochNess. Castiel's post about the Hermonies makes me think we're on the right track for the Smile.

    Deadline Lynch Vote: Republic

I agree with this plan (Ashaya's, I think): Lynch Republic, incarcerate Castiel, Moridin kill Castiel, Asylum kill Castiel, lynch suspicious person, incarcerate another suspicious person + Castiel, rinse and repeat.

This until Castiel is dead, obviously. Let's hope the Moridin is alive and we gank our Vesvius on the first Asylum kill of tomorrow.

Lynching and incarcerating suspicious players is what we need to do. Honestly, I'm not good enough to assign a scum role to their behaviour, unless it's very obvious. Republic seems to be our best bet for the Smile, so I say we get rid of him immediately. Then our targets will become the "most suspicious players", who, in my eyes, could be the Smile, Hermonies or the Jon.

Ashaya, I never said that losing me would make us lose the game. I said that losing me would it harder for us to win. Lynch me at your own risk.

That said, I find your reasons (beyond my "claim" of a role, which is retarded too, since everybody has a role) for lynching me retarded. Sure, you've been suspicious of me from the start. But why? Because you dislike me? Because my posts seem retarded to you? That's all well and good, but it's no indication that I am scum. Please think before accusing, else there is no hope of victory. Killing townies because of gut feelings is not something a player of your experience should do.

I want to lynch Jangel, for many reasons. One, because it became pretty obvious after the Hermonies targeted him when they knew he wouldn't die, and two, because I have reasons to believe that he is scum.
I will elaborate only if it seems that my lynch is inevitable, since if if I do and somenow don't get lynched, I'll be easy pickings for Castiel.

The only one I am almost certain is town is Seratin. I am moderately sure that Ashaya is town, as well. And as I said, Jangel has been practically proven scum by now.

    Lynch Vote: jangel

Keep with your retarded reasons, be played by scum, I don't care. People say I'm a horrible player, yet you're not playing any better. I mean, seriously?

Just leave me some time to post before completing the majority, if you're dead set on lynching me for whatever-your-reasoning-is.

---------- Post automerged at 06:42 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:40 AM ----------

My defense of LochNess was nothing beyond "don't lynch for stupid reasons. If you have reasons, then go ahead"

    Lynched Players:

    Fenraellis - unknown.
    Smile - unknown.
    Gambit - the Mishie.

    Killed players:

Aziraphale/Mishie - the OTPs (unknown but either 2 townies or the Jon + a traitor townie).
Zenzao/Fishy Justice - the Lutris/the MattSilver (interchangeable with the OTPs, really, but this is more likely, I believe).
    Snowflake - the KaiDASH.
    Vesvius - unknown.

Best case scenario: 4/13 townies dead - 5/7 scum dead (all the unknown were scum) - current ratio 9:2. Alive scum: Castiel the Vesvius + 1 Hermonie or the SmileOfTheKill (with Vesvius being the last Hermonie or the SmileOfTheKill). Bullshit.

Worst case scenario: 9/14 townies dead - 0/6 scum dead - current ratio 5:6. Much more likely than the best case scenario but I really hope it's not true.

The odds that the Hermonies chose the Jon and another townie for the OTP roles are very low. The odds that Vesvius was the Aekiel seem high, and if he wasn't, I feel like maybe it was Fenraellis and, being the first Regular to die, Vesvius the SmileOfTheKill had gained that ability. But if the latter was killed by the Fenraellis, then Fenraellis (the player) was scum and Smile (the player) was town, so that would bring me back to Vesvius being the Aekiel.

With this (more likely, IMO) scenario: 8/14 townies dead - 1/6 scum dead - current ratio 6:5.

I think we're pretty much screwed, guys.

Especially when you think that many of us will have been associated or Taure'd.

---------- Post automerged at 03:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:15 PM ----------

    Right.

In light of Stojil's post outlining the numbers of the situation, and being convinced that the worst case scenario is the more likely situation for us to be in, I have been thinking.

Given the numbers presented, I think that unless we get rid of the Hermonies pretty sharpish, the Hermonie's will win in around 2 nights, when they will likely either be a majority or be close enough to win, given plane tickets.

The Vesvius, on the other hand, will take more than two days to win, even if left completely uncontested.

So I believe that we should go after the Hermonies after all, even if that means allowing the Vesvius a kill tonight.

It may very well be that Republic21 is the Smile. But frankly, the day it will take to kill him and the Vesvius is one day we don't have.

    To that end:

    Rescind standard lynch vote.

    Standard lynch vote: Jangel

(Though I have no idea why he should be a hermonie)
