Uncle Stojil: Should I roleclaim? I mean, I'm not thrilled about claiming my role, but on the other hand I'd rather see the town win.

Huh, options 1 and 4 look the best to me. I'm opposed to #2 solely on the basis that I'm not the Smile, and well, I don't want to be lynched for something that I am not.

I am going to be so cranky if Republic21 turns out to be scum. I finish every round wanting to lynch him, despite the fact that I have no solid proof that he's scum.

Number 4 would be best if we can pull it off.

 

How should I know? What I think is: if roleclaiming seriously helps town, then I think you should seriously consider it. With help I mean both pinpointing scum, excluding townies who are strongly suspected while not risking to cripple us in some major way in the meantime.

The Vesvius is still out there but he has lots of targets already and he won't be able to modkill for the next two days (if he doesn't die before), if all goes according to plan.

On the other hand, the Hermonies are an immediate threat and if you're a threat to them, they could go after you. Same if you reveal some other townie who is a threat to them.

In short, think it through before doing it, weigh pros and cons, drink milk and eat your vegetables.

Why am I even stating such shitty obvious stuff?

 

I'm thinking role claiming at this point is a nono. I'll be willing to discuss why in detail later (if day is up,) or tmmr. But I think it should be obviosu

Here is what i'm thinking.

I've already given input on the number 1 choice. There is nothing wrong with it, I just feel it wastes a lynch. But its viable
2)This is a good one. Just generally lynch someone suspicious, and that increases the chance of Smile being dead. This is better then number 1, but not great
3) nononono, we need hermonie help
4)I think this option, if successful, would definitely be the best. And this brings me to my next post, since you linked Taure with the Jon, which I honestly couldn't see before.. but:

First, he assumes something which isn't even 100% true? Smile could be dead, Smile could be other sane roles not checked. Many town roles check sane. With deadline near, if enough people got on and put in a vote, he could have started a super quick bandwagon.

Next, i'm thinking about the start of the day. In his very first posts (IIRC) he was saying stuff ONLY focusing on killing the Vesvius (castiel). This seemed very suspicious to me, and I assumed he wasn't Smile, and thought he was a Hermonie. BUT then he was pretty much clear when he fingered Ashaya (loll not intentional at all I swear to god). So I had him as town. I didn't even think about him being Jon, but it could make sense. Jon is playing by himself, he'd want witches, Mods, and town all out of the way at the same time.

I hope i'm not making a huge mistake, but its honestly something that I just pulled out in 6 minutes of looking/writing.

If its not viable, don't do it. If you think it has some merit.. well...

Not to be overly bandwagonny, but I think there is a point here: picking from only those three when there were others (not checked by Seratin) to consider, his actions (~#480) where he wanted to lynch me, thinking I was a Hermonie, when we needed to go after Castiel. Yes, he changed his tune on this, but only when convinced by a preponderance of argument, and the shifting of group opinion.

He was coming off very scum to me, and if the Smile is potentially dead, I don't think killing the possible Jon is a terrible idea.
