Hiya! I'm going to confirm that I'm actually here, I'm currently reading the rules and roles so give me a few minutes, I've never played this ruleset, so I've got a bit of catching up to do, but I should be fine soon.

But seriously, I have tried to be the mayor like every game I've been in. Can I please win mayor just once? I promise to lead town to victory and rainbows and fluffy things. :3

As for what I plan to do as Mayor to clean up DLPhunt, I promise to take everyone's opinions into account while also not letting scum sway me (I hope).

 

Well, I think I understand the rule set now, we have to choose a mayor. To start off, I have a few questions:

Should Irene try to be Mayor? That'd give Irene tremendous power. But that requires that we trust Irene.

What role would be best for Mayor?

What roles should definitely NOT try to be Mayor?

 

Welp.

The only question is, is AngelRick the Jwlk, or the Eidolonic?

Also, vote me for mayor. I'll do useful things.

My mayoral platform is basically that I'll listen to what people say, but probably do what I think is the best course of action anyways.

Also, keep your damn roles in your pants, people. Claiming isn't the worst thing in the world if you have critical, game-breaking information that is worth being the Jwlk-snack - but don't claim to get Mayor, in particular, or even hint at your role.

 

Don't vote Eidolonic. He has a bad record of letting scum push him around.

Okay, xion is clearly the best candidate. But he's not actually a viable candidate, and besides, he is our overlord, which is a far step up from mayor.

 

I could potentially support a Kai candidacy.

It's just. I don't know if he's town. Where, I know that I'm town. So I'd rather have the extra life. Since scum having to shoot me twice to get rid of me is appealing.

 

I'd rather have a Kai mayor than an Ash or an Eid one. <_<

At least Kai is generally transparent when he's scum. I can never tell what Ash is and Eid isn't making a good argument for my vote.

 

I was going to vote Ash but I realized that's stereotypical of me...

I've been town all three games I've played on DLP, I've won all three games I've played on DLP.

This means that I'm town this game, and giving me the mayoral position will make it easier to win.

My logic is impeccable.

Just found out I shouldn't edit, I shan't do it again and I just added I didn't remove anything.

 

Hey guys, vote for me! Ashaya is scum for reasons mentioned in previous posts, I picked less scum for my Court than Eido did in DLP WH, and KaiDASH is teh gayz. I am obviously the best candidate!

No but for real, I'd take into account everyone's opinion (except for scum's of course), I'm on summer break so you won't have to worry about me being inactive at any point, and I'm still new enough to mafia to be transparent as town or scum. Menace vote is best vote!

 

The asylum aspect of being the mayor is largely secondary. Every mayor is going to go with the general town consensus for the most part, and do what is logical.

The mayoral vote is really designed to give a player an extra life. That means there's only three people I'd really consider strongly voting for - myself, Kai, or Stojil. And... since I know I'm town, but have no proof for their alignment, it stands to reason that I'd rather have the extra life than see it go to one of them.

I'm open to reconsidering if either of them can convince me of their alignment, but we only have 24 hours for the election, if I recall. So, yeah.

I'm not going to attack my opposition for the mayoral race because... that's stupid? For all I know they are town. I just believe I am the better option for the extra life.

I don't have too strong of an opinion at the moment on who should be mayor - and I'm not quite confident enough to say it should be me. I'll reserve my vote for the moment and see where the general consensus seems to be going.
