Yeah, I know. I'm just going off the Canon Harry, since that is the one we are all arguing about. Would he be arrogant, or not? Canon Harry, is just too..good to ever be arrogant, raised by a Wizarding family, or no. Personally, I still think a Wizarding family is better. Why? Because even though he could possibly be arrogant, he would be healthy, happy, and be around magic so he can have a easier time at Hogwarts studying.

Now, he would have motivation. The Dursleys NEVER motivated him to learn, but an appropiate wizarding family would. Even if it is just too raise their status.

If Harry went to a Wizarding Family and turned out like canon then no, he wouldn't be arrogant and flaunt his wealth and fame. But chances are more than likely with a different environment for him to grow up in, than he wouldn't turn out canon.

Oh man, we got far off topic. But now I see what your saying. I thought you meant that he would turn out like canon if he grew up with a different family. I was wrong because you are baising how he would act reguardless of family and off of canon, or so you said. Am I wrong in any part of this?

 

No, you aren't. I was saying he would turn out the same regardless, mainly because this is J.K, and I doubt a different family would change her Harry.

 

I'm all for poor old Dumbledore.

I used to not mind the bashing, but I'm really over it lately - so many people go completely over the top. He only ever did what he thought was best for Harry.

You know that personality is a particular part of your brain? You're born with it. Of course Harry would be different if he'd grown up in another situation, but fundamentally I think he'd be the same.
