It’ll definitely get me to watch it.

 

I actually really enjoyed that finale. Sure there's still many of the Chibnall issues in it, but the fanservice and the spectacle was second to none. Even not caring for the older companions at all (I never got into classic Who) it was still an entertaining 90 minutes.

 

This is arguably a petty point, but it annoyed me that this regeneration randomly changed the Doctor's outfit as well. Maybe that'll be covered in the whole mystery of it over the three specials next year, but the new Doctor running round in their old outfit for a bit is a minor tradition!

 

I suspect that they simply didn't want to take away from the scene of his return and make it humors if he kept her costume. The rule of cool and all that.

Well, for me it depends how quickly I will get older series on Disney+.

 

They've only mentioned new stuff going on Disney+ for the moment.

 

So wait... it's not going to air on BBC America anymore? Or is this just streaming rights?

The 60's / 70's coding of these looks really gives me hope that Ruby Sunday won't be a gen-z companion.

 

It's a small chance. The New Who Companions, at least the main ones, are always people from from modern times to have some react like the audience would.

Anyway, I'm way behind with the episodes, never finished the last series of the 12th Doctor, but I will check both Tennant's return and this.

 

Looks really good. I dropped the show during the Matt Smith years, and I hear it got worse from there. Very excited to see creatives back in charge.

 

I do love it when Doctor Who has a budget.

I really like Fifteen. It has a bunch of upbeat segments that I think will make for good reprisals during high action moments.

Ruby's theme and this episode outfit has me yet again salivating at the thought of a companion from the 1700/1800s, and what a fresh outlook that would be where even modern regular things like credit cards and social media are new and exciting prospects.
