I'm with Jon. Ambiguity and mystery is fine, but you could say that Harry Potter fell through the Veil and was working magic in the background to facilitate the plot in this episode for all the difference it would make.

However, I did really like the episode until it became apparent that we weren't really getting any explanation at all; strong concept and central performance from Gibson (apparently the first episode she filmed, which is wild), and it was effectively creepy. Just...kinda fizzled out.
It may be worth revisiting once the wider mystery of what's going on with Ruby is explained, to be fair.

'Dot and Bubble' gets off to a bit of a frustrating start, but by the end I was hooked. A much more interesting episode than I thought it was going to be.

Doctor just laughing and then screaming with frustrated rage was 100000X more effective as social commentary than any of the 5 minute lectures we got in Chibnall era.

The ending of the episode was great, but most of it felt like an episode of Black Mirror.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. The start of it was aesthetically too clean that it irritated me in a good way. The actress that played Lindy did a great job early on alienating the audience through the entitled brat character. I never really got 'on her side' so the end of the episode definitely exacerbated my hate of the character in a great way.

I admit I did roll my eyes early on at the heavy handed commentary of how people just 'live their lives in a social media bubble' taken literally. Which meant when the actual underlying theme of the message revealled itself I was pleasantly surprised.

They did a great job laying the subtle hints throughout. I watched the episode with my partner and her take away was less racial predjudice and more of a socio-economic bias that was being demonstrated by the people in Finetime.

It actually took me back when I mentally reviewed the character list and realized there were no people of colour in it. It's normally so hamfisted from BBC to check quotas that it normally annoys me and takes me out of the suspension of disbelief. That being thrown back at me was a wild moment.

Jack Harkness 2.0 and the Doctor in Bridgeton, lmao. I enjoyed the total campiness of it by the end but I was rioting at the tv in the first half.

Eh, seems like a better Jack. Soft-spoken nerd introvert vs extroverted sex-maniac.

The episode about cosplay aliens playing Bridgerton was great. It covered many of my interests and I love that we're getting new voices into the show. More of these, fewer Booms and Wild Blue Yonders please!

I proper belly-laughed during the Kylie Minogue bit. My biggest issue with Ncuti's Doctor is that he's WAY too suave and charming. It was nice to see the dorky side of the character at the forefront again.

Now that was a fun one. I knew the theories going in, but the end reveal was amazing.

RTD tends to have great finale setups with underwhelming conclusions, but let's see if he can stick the landing on this one!

Me and a friend, earlier in the week: "The theories are fun, but seem a bit far-fetched."
Us today: "Oh. Well, fair play fandom!"

That felt like a bit of a damp squib, to be honest. Some individually good scenes and ideas, but overall a bit whatever.

Sutekh, one of the most powerful psychic beings in the universe and now the pinnacle of the Pantheon of Discord... was bamboozled by a thin cloth hood?

Easily the worst RTD finale. Kinda impressed by how nonsensical it was.

I don't even know how to feel about what I just watched. My eyes are tired from how many times I rolled them.
