Fantastic episode, I can't wait until next week, makes me realise just how much I hate cliff hangers.

The biggest thing i'm worried about, is true love making Rory completely alive again.

River was pretty fucking awesome, the part where she says "I'm sorry, my love" at the end was interesting.

Seriously can't wait to see how the next episode brings it all together.

    Great episode.

Still I wonder who is controlling the TARDIS. Pretty sure that one of the Time Lords. The Master?

    Next episode:
    - why duck pond doesn't have ducks?
    - whose shadow we see in young Amy's house when she was waiting for the Doctor?
    - what was this strange light that illuminated Amy and the Doctor when he was telling her to trust him when she lock his tie in a car?
    - why Amy doesn't remember the Doctor returning when she was young (only in her dreams)?
    - who and why turn on light in one window in WWII London?
    - why the Doctor come back to his own timeline and told Amy to remember (Weeping Angels episode)?
    - what was a point of the Dream Lord? (I don't believe in pointless episodes)
    - what about spaceship from The Lodger? who does it belong to?
    - why Amy life doesn't make any sense? (or at least to the Doctor)
    - whose voice we heard telling "Silence will fall"?

That's probably first time in new Doctor Who (didn't see old) when after first final episode we still have so many mysteries to solve.

To those two, I think that the Dream Lord isn't exactly pointless, just a foreshadowing of the Doctor's dark side that I have no doubt will be important in later years (And there's the Valeyard stuff). However, Amy's Choice was more important with the Amy/Rory stuff - how much she actually does love him and all that stuff that becomes relevant when he dies and gets erased, and here as she remembers him. "Amy's Choice", not "Hey! The Dream Lord!"

As for the Lodger, I'd hate to be wrong, but I think it's just a filler thing. That fell through the crack or something after the Doctor left. Seriously, with that one, I'd hate to be wrong and be pleasantly surprised in the end, but still...

As for all your other questions, I've deduced that time travel may be involved. Strange, I know.

I doubt that. What about these marks outside of Amy's house that River saw? I've feeling that this spaceship left them (it had "legs").

Like I said, I'd love to be proved wrong. And I may've forgotten about the markings. Whoops.

That was...pretty crazy. Awesome, but crazy. Can't wait to see how it all comes together. The only problem I had was that I already knew that
the Doctor was going to end up in the Pandorica. Damn spoilers.

While just about everyone guessed that it had something to do with the Doctor

It was a good bit of misdirection, making us think about what could come out, not that he could go in

There was concept art posted over a week ago with the Doctor strapped into the Pandorica.

I was (and am) confused about what this entire finale has to do with Amy. It's her book about the Pandorica, it's her army of romans, et cetera. I hope it doesn't just end up that everything is part of her imagination.

I don't think it will be her imagination. She indicated in interviews that she doesn't want to get super powers as a character, like rose or donna, as that usually indicated the extermination of the character. Rose was a weird one but yeah.

That says to me that she actually isn't controlling it. But probably a major influence.

Everyone caught that line by river about the doctor teaching her how to drive the tardis.
That in conjunction with what she said about the doctor not being around that day leads me to believe river will span into the next regeneration.

But when we first met River she was indicating that she knew the Doctor when he was a hell of a lot older. Though I suppose she seems to have met him in a jumbled up order in her lifetime. We still don't know why she was in the prison either.

There is the older comment, but it could be that she meant maturity/wisodm/experience wise.

I think the whole "to bad you weren't there that day comment" could have been intended for this regeneration as a jab at how inexperienced he was.

That indicates then that she seems to revere the following version of the doctor over this one.

Either that or I call She is the tardis incarnate!

The comic version of doctor who did something where the tardis actually communicated as a companion to the doctor by taking on the shape of previous companions. I think it was cannon too.

That means she gets blown up within herself.

That episode was amazing. Especially the scene where they mixed the Romans dragging the Doctor with the whole Amy/Rory thing and the Tardis and River blowing up. With the Music. Epic.
The Rory thing took me by surprise. I thought it was Jack when he volunteered. ( Ive never seen the second season of Torchwood or the whole "Children" thing so i never found out what happened to him). But seeing Rory was just like WAT???!?!?

I still want to know what the greater power is. The voice that was controlling the tardis. I thought it sounded like Davros or maybe another Dalek at first. But after awhile it started to sound different i think. Not really sure. Plus I dont believe that all those races just decided to work together to save the universe. I think something had to push them in the right direction to get them to work together.

I think a Time Lord. I would say the Master but he's dead so i don't know.

Ellisande get some spoilers on that. Someone might not have seen it yet

And River Song has a very nice ass

There are comics for Doctor who...

I discovered this on a wiki. Proceed with googleing.

The one I am talking about was for tenants doctor. I'm presuming pre donna but post Martha.

Also, the voice could have been davros; it sounded something like his screech. Bear in mind he dies all the time but somehow comes back anyway, like the daleks.

Just like the next time he comes back he will be betrayed by the daleks after he puts so much work into ressurecting them.

Its formulaic in this DW universe.

I was more making a point that you do not want to bring up any mention of canonicity in the DW universe - you'd get burned alive.

My personal opinion is that only TV episodes and TVM are considered canon. Especially since the best stories from the spin-off media have been adapted to become full TV stories. The Lodger was a comic originally, and Human Nature was a novel.

If they haven't seen the episode, they shouldn't read the fucking posts that have been posted after the newest episode was aired.

I never read this thread until i've seen the episode.

Classic episode. More than made up for "The Lodger".

kevo: Without going into too much detail, Jack exiled himself from Earth after the conclusion to "Children". Personally, I was hoping that it would be him as well, but Rory was handled extremely well.

EsperJones: The villains said that they based the scenario (the Romans, Rory, and the Pandorica) on Amy's memories. They essentially used her as part of the trap, nothing more.

Myself, I can't wait for the big reveal, and the fact they didn't give us a teaser for next week almost makes it better. I swear that the "Silence will fall" voice is familiar, and my guess is that whoever took over the TARDIS is the same person who was building their own TARDIS in "The Lodger"

The Master is an obvious choice, and the voice did sort of sound like the older actor who played "Professor Yana" in the third season, but I'd like to see them come up with something a little different.

The "Silence will fall" voice just really keeps reminding me of Emperor Palpatine from the sixth movie...

Which is weird, as I haven't seen them for years. And only seen it twice.

....You know I just rewatched a bit of it.. specifically around 12:00 and onwards, where the Doctor 'describes' whats in the box.

..Which is more chilling when followed up with....

Just.. watch it, it takes on a hold new meaning once you understand where it's going... and the following speech he gives to them as they descend... just fucking wow.
