Anyone wants more Doctor?

More Doctor it is then.

 

Now, question, (and don't rape me) if someone who has never watched Doctor who wants to start... where should they?

 

The last series (season 5) was, I think, the first to have unresolved plot elements at the end leading into series 6, so watching that would probably be a good idea, maybe with the Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead two parter for River Song's introduction.

Apart from that...you could probably just pick a series and start there, to be honest. I've hardly watched any of the original show, certainly. The first revival series is as good a place to start as any.

 

Why do I get the feeling that Amy shoots River?

 

Because it's Moffat that's writing it, and not that fucking soap-opera idiot Davies.

Ok, having calmed down, I'll admit it wasn't 100% perfect. There's some heavy recycling going on

the spooky space suits, creepy childs voices, the Silence's gimmick is very similar to the Angels, that kind of thing

, and the first big twist is undermined by the fact that it's never going to stick, not completely.

I still say it was brilliantly written, clever, funny, and scary to boot. Loved it, and can't wait for the pay off.
