Does logic exist at all for JKR?

It is a simple question that I have been pondering as of late. Harry's dad and his merry group of friends created pranks, became animagi, and created a map that could not be deceived, Snape was creating spells and rewriting potions, Lily I assume did the same, Riddle split his soul, and Albus was preforming magic on a level that cannot be expressed in words, and they all did this while still in school. Hermione doesn't even come close to doing anything this grand, and she is supposed to be the most talented student of her generation. Is it just me or does Harry's generation suck at magic?

My next point is one that has really annoyed me since the third book. Why the does having a dementor as a boggart make you afraid of fear? Wouldn't having a boggart as a boggart be what makes you afraid of fear? Dementor as a boggart seems to lend toward making you afraid of the past much more than fear.

My final major problem with this story is the logic used by Harry in the last book. I just don't see how Draco defeated Albus. Albus could have used his last spell on Draco instead of Harry or let Harry take out Draco as Harry could easily kick Draco's ass. For that matter, Albus knew that Draco was plotting so he didn't even outsmart him. If anyone beat Albus it was Harry. His love for Harry seemed to be his downfall. I mean he sacrificed himself to save Harry by setting in motion a plan to defeat Tom while allowing Harry to survive.

There are several other problems with the books when it comes to logic, but these are the main errors which bug me. Does anyone else have any thoughts on this topic?

You might wish to look at this thread, one of several where plot holes (or other illogic) is discussed.

Wow, I missed that thread completely otherwise I would have just posted there. Ugh, I blame the lack of sleep associated with finals......well I could probably blame the alcohol in my dorm too, but that just seems like a completely irrational thing to do. Thanks for the link.

Maybe if Rowling actually thought about something what she wrote maybe the series wouldn't be so confusing or fucked up(Last two books prove my point).

Maybe if you actually thought about what you wrote, maybe this dead thread wouldn't be so badly necrobumped (Last three posts prove my point).

Yeah, you remember that one time when Harry travelled 500 km from a remote island to Hogwarts in a split second? How fucking illogical was that?
