well, as you know, not all purebloods follow Voldemort, so the argument that all purebloods have little brains and just need to follow someone around is easily arguable.

As you said, there are very little purebloods around, don't you think, if he really wanted a powerful army, than he would find another cause to get it, for another cause may lead greater numbers in his army. I think his main concern really is pureblood supremacy, although I think he tolerates half bloods within his ranks

 

Its the weakness of Muggles, and any wizard who doesnt use his power to achieve similar goals to his. Doesnt it say somewhere in HPB, that he sees death as a muggle weakness and as a wizard he can overcome it?

 

Voldemort is obviously just using pure blood supremecy as a means to get pure bloods to help him. He knows the Pure bloods are not as powerful as they claim. He himself is the walking example of that. He's just a guy who wants to rid the world of muggles and personally i dont think anyone should get in his way. just let him kill the muggles untill, A he gets tired of it or B he gets killed by a gun. LOL

I think he was being consumed by the rituals. after enough rituals to give you almost scally skin when you get reborn, you woud be a bit twisted to. this was probably increased by his unicorn glottony; a half life indeed.

the purebloods where just people tat he could twist to his need; if he could have gotten up and coming muggleborns, then guess what? He needed people, magic power, money, and connections. Muggeborn only have numbers, magic (but not spells secreted away by families) almost non existant connections, and a bit of money in the muggle world. Not a toug choice at all is it? He must have done a bit more to himself than he thought and got cemented into his faked ideals. Power, is power but he lost that bit of imself in rituals and the darkest powerful magics e could find.
