The greatest young mind of our generation RTZ couldn't carry EG because PPD refused to ban NP even though Liquid ran train over all their opponents whenever they were allowed to have him. Thankfully Puppey was smart enough to first phase ban him alongside ES.

 

I think the bigger part there is that PPD was seriously sick on the final day. That more than anything influenza the outcome imo. From what he describes it was more influenza than common cold.

According to Khezzu Team Secret bought out their contracts for $800,000 and EG wasn't willing to bid up for that much.

Holy shit that's a lot of money for those two.

Honestly though, Secret is probably the most stacked dreamteam I've seen now. I don't think there's a single player that I would replace on that team.

Can RTZ finally with a valve event? Thats the question i guess.

 

That Secret team is going to be either the best or the worst team of all time. Who the hell can EG even get to replace those two at this short notice? Bring back Aui, Fear to carry, pull Zai out of school for offlane xd.

 

There's also the second rumor of Fear + Suma1l out of EG leaving only ppd on the roster. Maybe EG is completely gone too? I'm really not sure how much I trust that one though. That would pretty much put EG out of contending TI6 unless ppd can pull out a good roster in 3 days. Fear + Suma1l are apparently going to DC to replace Resolution + 1.

There is also two pretty high quality players just free as well in Misery and w33. Really don't know what team they can manage to scramble together though. If w33 can't manage to get together a team in 3 days, he can pretty much kiss his TI dreams goodbye and his statement about getting to TI regardless on whether people like him or not still won't come true funnily enough.

Also, everything happening on 3/22 is pretty funny tbh.

 

IIRC that $800,000 buyout is not true. It was made up by one of his mods who donated the message which showed on stream.

 

Aui and Bulba are now playing for EG according to Eternal Envy. Theeban went back to coaching Team Secret permanently. W33ha, Resolut1on, Moo, Saksa, and Misery have formed a new team.

 

That's probably the best that EG could have done out of the situation, but bulba is a definite downgrade from Universe. Is Aui playing carry or is Fear moving back to 1?

 

Aui is playing carry, apparently. I think he also played carry in DC's last matches, so I guess it's a change of position he really wanted. I haven't seen him play the carry position, but I can't imagine him being as good as RTZ.

 

Fear apparently has a really fucked up arm that he doesn't want to strain by playing carry. Aui used to play a rather mean carry for POTM bottom back in the day and he wasn't too bad when playing it for DC recently.

 

Aui back to EG is pretty fucking hilarious. Kinda hope that EG now wins stuff just to continue the "team RTZ leaves now wins major tournaments" trend.

 

SUNSfan got himself a more solid team because of these poachings.
