Okay every time I try to download something it will download for a while and then freeze, and stay that way, It doesn't always happen. But the bigger the file the more likely it is to happen, I can't download anything above 100mb. My spyware scanners can't find anything.

    Can anybody help me?

Did you try using another browser? IE is known to fail at times, especially for files bigger than 2gb.

Perhaps you could try using a download manager? I can't really give you any advice without more information.

    I don't think it's a browser issue.

Are you using WiFi? Try boosting the signal, or even use ethernet (cable) instead of wireless. Most likely the signal is bad so the connection will often break, especially with a higher usage.

A download manager would help in most cases anyway since it'd enable you to resume the download if it wasn't fully downloaded.

Try disabling your firewall, it often decreases performances so it might help a bit.

Try Opera. It has a decent download manager. Also, it depends on the download type that you're doing. If you're direct downloading, I'm going to assume that its a weak signal, or your firewall.

Get download statusbar for firefox. If a download stops you can resume it.
