Hey guys, I was wondering if anybody knows of some software that I can get to download fics off ffnet easily so that I can read them on my laptop on the train or something.

any ideas?

donno about ff.net, but i use the downthemall extension in firefox for other sites.

 

There was a topic about this, but I don't know where it ended up after reorganisation of the site. Look around...

 

http://www.inklesspen.com/deffnet/ - it's a link to the De-FFnet-izer site. Like IP said, there's a topic about this already floating around somewhere. De-FFnet-izer is a program that retrieves the chapters from ff.net for you without you having to manually save every page.

Or, what I sometimes do when I need a copy of a fic on my hard drive, which is a good ol' copy&paste job into MS Word.

 

I did look for it in the forums but i will admit to being slightly lazy, thanks alot fot the links though! This will make my life one hell of a lot easier!
