Finished my first playthrough. Was pretty boss. Didn't o all the sidequests, but I was just feeling a tad impatient. Simply wanted to get the main story line done and over with.

The epilogue was kind of meh. Def wish it ha elaborated more on the other companions.

Might take a break for a couple days, before moving on to playthrough #2. I'm a bit worn out.

How are tactics in this game? BSN presents conflicting opinions. Is it possible to set up companions and not have to worry about them?

Honestly, I'm not sure. Didn't spend much time, if any, on that. Mostly hack'n'slash for me. Any tactics I used boiled down to "Don't stand in fire and use Barrier as much as possible."

Seriously, party with two mages where both have barrier is easy as fuck. Esp as KE where your main attack takes like, no mana and each attack gives you a barrier. Might be less useful on harder difficulties, though. I was only playing on normal.

Hey, I haven't finished the game yet, but there's a question that's been bugging me that I'm not sure has been answered.

I know what happened during the conclave and how Justina died with that fade quest, but I don't recall what Max (the mc) was doing there in the first place... It seems a very 'invite only' affair...

Does this get answered later on? Have I missed/ forgotten the answer? Is it ignored?

Depends on what "origin" you choose. Qunari are mercenaries who were hired to guard the conclave. Human warrior/rogue were delegates/part of Justina entourage, elves are spies (or something like that).

If you go into the character creation the last page summarises your biography and why you are at the temple.

So, am I the only one who feels like there'll probably be an actual expansion for this game? Not a DLC, but an actual expansion, in the vein of Awakening.

If there is, I'll put money on them naming it something like "Ascension" or some other word that equally conveys a rise to godhood. (Or as close as you can possibly get.)

Future DLC: alternate clothing options for while in Skyhold. Seriously, this looks so much like a set-up that it's pathetic.

"Well, I'm the Inquisitor, I command hundreds of soldiers and several truly epic badasses. I'm holding court today, there are people awaiting trial... think I'll wear beige again."

Bioware took the complaints about romance scenes taking place while Warden/Hawke was wearing heavy armor very seriously. So they gave the Inquisitor some comfy pyjamas instead.

Obviously, my information is second hand as I haven't played the game myself, but DA:I looks like it was meant to set up the Inquisition more than anything. DA is a huge franchise and of course there'll be more games. There are still two Old Gods to deal with and
    you know Solas/Dread Wolf/Mythal
is going to be a player.

Yeah, the pyjama thing was kind of...

An option to change 'Skyhold' Outfits would be appreciated.

I was kind of hoping for more Skyhold customization tbh.

Btw, am I the only one that's really torn up by the Wild Heart mounts? They look cool as fuck, but that high pitched moan and squealing...

Btw, money seems to be in limited supply in this game. If you want a lot of it, here's a duping cheat to get as much as you want (doesn't work for everything, I used Dragon Tooth. You can use this to dupe most stackable items too).

    Clear your valuables.

Go to your mats tab and send a stackable item (Dragon Tooth is ideal, it sells for 81g) to the valuables page with L2.

Go to any shop and go to sell. Once in the valuables tab, hit triangle then x in quick succession. You'll sell your supply of (stackable item) and also get a popup window asking how much you want to sell.

    Select to sell all.

If it worked (did for me, I've got like 100k now and bought all the customisable shit and influence contracts too) then you'll have double of the item you had to begin with in the buyback tab.

Buy it all back then rinse and repeat.

When you're done, simply only buy back the amount of the original item you want/ need.

I sincerely hope someone works up a money mod in the future. The scarcity of gold in DA games has always been an issue. Less so in DA:O with the Reaper's Cudgel, but DA2 was merciless money-wise, especially with all the cool expensive stuff in the Black Emporium.

*Blinks* What? I bought like 2 expensive things, the High Keeper Robes and the Mystery Box. Both times I had way more than enough money. The only other things I bought were a couple of those Re-spec Tear things.

Oh, and I guess I bought a *really* good Orlesian bed.

Seriously, there wasn't much good to buy as far as I saw. What were you guys buying?

Hella hard, at this point/ Frostbite is apparently a hard engine to work with, the Denuvo DRM prevents any kind of further tampering, (I.e., I'm guessing it's harder to even get at the code) and no tool kit.

Wouldn't be expecting any mods, if any, for awhile.

Schematics, mounts, keep customisation items, weapons etc

If you choose not to buy them, that's fine. They're not essential. I'm a completionist though, and I enjoy the crafting.
