In fact, Dorian is probably my fav non-Cass character in the series.

In regards to Iron Bull, his attitude seemed very 'Qun' from what little I know or care to know about them.

And whatever your thoughts on trans ppl, meh. They're not in my face in the game so I just rolled my eyes and moved on. If it helps them feel represented, who cares? It's not like they don't exist or force you to treat them a certain way.

Not a SJW though I strongly support the mage side. I can understand the argument that they are dangerous, but my American patriotism to the ideals of liberty and innocent until proven guilty really put me on the side of the mages.

I do agree though. The forums could get...brutal when there were complaints about Cassandra and Josephine. If someone did not find them attractive, they were misogynists. If someone thought they were dull in comparison to the female love interests, they were misogynists. etc.

I loved origins, though never got through DA2, and really want this game but was looking to wait a bit for them to fix the all the bugs.

The main one I'm looking at is the bug where to companions don't talk much which would completely ruin my experience; is anyone dealing with that now? Also, any other bugs that may be worth waiting for?

 

I think the latest patch dealt with that, by upping the Party banter chance when out in the wild.

The truth about what the Eluvian are, and the Crossroads is excellent potential for any crossover? Hell just off the top of my head, what if The Mirror of Erised was the backside of an Eluvian? Kind of contrived, but still.

 

How are mouse/keyboard controls for those that use them? I heard that that they are terrible, I hope not because micromanaging battles in DAO was one of my favorite things in the game and that relied quite heavily on mouse/keyboard.

 

Going to play this soon, legit excited.. How many people did the Keep thing and is it easy to change? I forgot some of the stuff I did in origins and there are like a too many choices.

 

It's easy enough. And use the Wiki, it'll help jog your memory on some of those more obscure NPCs.

 

I kind of liken the Fade to the Nevernever, so if you can contrive a reason to go 'beyond', I could see it.

The Black/ Golden City being the edge of their dimension, and the Magisters of old breaching whatever safeguards were in place allowing Outsiders in?

Sounds very Dresden-y and DA-y. Naive mages meddling where they shouldn't brings calamity.

Darkspawn being Tevinter Magisters corrupted by Outsiders sounds cool.

Flemeth being DA universe's (darker) Rashid makes a lotta sense to me too.

Phew, finally got the Platinum.

Easy to follow guide on dominating Nightmare:

1) Make Sera (or the Inquisitor) a Dagger Rogue.
2) Max out Tempest (Thousand Cuts is what's most pertinent here, but the whole tree is awesomesauce)
3) Get your crit% and weapon damage as high as possible (My Sera was over 50% by end game. Get Great Bear Hides for best crit% on gear, not hard).
4) Get the Mighty Offense Tonic and upgrade it all the way.
5) Pop the tonic.
6) Pop lvl3 Thousand Cuts
7) Sit back and watch Sera (or the Inq) hit 38 times on a single target, each hit/crit doing 6k. Do the math.
8 ) Laugh maniacally as you 1shot Cory

 

If nothing else, it's a way to jump Harry to Thedas.

I try to start playing.... and Lizard Squad decides to DDoS PSN/xblive again literally for no reason other than to get twitter traffic.

 

You don't need a connection to play.

 

I eventually worked that out by just skipping ps4 log-in. I've been character creating for an hour.

 

I guess it only matters if you wanted to upload the world state from the Keep. Character creation is fun even though they give the same hairstyles (including 1 million plus styles of balding) for males and females.

I guess I was the only person who loved the auto-piloty battle system of DA2.

Of the 3 chars I made, 2 were monstrosities (HP and Gandalf) that I really wish I had share buttoned, and the third is surprisingly good.
