Also-Morgana. Anyone who ended up giving her a kid-What do you think will be the consequence?

The consequences? A sequel, obviously. Morrigan's pretty foolhardy if she thinks her plan will succeed in the long run. Way too many things can go wrong.

If you're a male PC and romance her, the ending suggests she regrets leaving, which suggests some attachment. I don't think she's really all that bad, at worst she'll use the god kid to become immortal like her 'mother'.

I thought the sequel was obvious by the "Origins" part of the name :p.

Yar, those. Theres a set of boots in the Haven shop as well. Something like +17 and and amusing scene to go with it.

    I just finished the game.

It really was a great game, but I don't know if I want to replay it. At least not now, because even though you have different choices, 95%+ of the game would still be the same.
Siding with Bhelen/Branka/Templars/Werewolves would only change a few things and I can watch the few different cutscenes on youtube and read about the different epilogue on a fansite.
Playing dozens of hours through the same to see that? Meh.

That's the problem, because even though there are different classes, I played most of them already, because I could just switch to a party member. Thus, I don't really feel the need to play as a mage, because I already used Morrigan on most of the later fights, because the AI would just fuck things up with AoE/CC.

Is there an easy way to trigger conversations between party members? Many of these were hilarious and I want to try out other combinations, but don't know how I can get them to talk. Is it just time dependent and I should just let them stand around while reading a book and waiting for the conversation to start?

Btw: When you are rescuing Anora, save game before you encounter Ser Couthrien. Then, let her take you into custody and try breaking out yourself and letting different combinations of companions rescue you. This is hilarious. (Try Ogrhen/Sten or Ogrhen/Dog)

Ok, if you do the sidequest for the Blackstone Irregulars where you have to deliver news of the death of their husbands to newly widowed women, definitely let your companions tell the news.
Best thing to safe and then let different people tell it.

Oghren just now: "Good news, lady! You're single!"

Okay, I just watched the recently published review of this game on Zero Punctuation (link is here), and as I'm currently deciding whether or not to get this or Assassin's Creed 2, I pose the question to those who have played this game: is the review accurate or not worth a damn?

Holy Fuck. I had serious problems just keeping up with what the guy was saying.
But I guess it's basically true. You run around, accept all quests, go into a dungeon, kill everything you find and loot everything you can, then back to town and get your reward and sell everything you don't need.
The story has all the standard recognizable fantasy elements, but it's still able to put a nice spin to them so that they don't feel as old. On one level I liked the kind of "Dark Fantasy" where people mostly were miserable and had bad teeth and no silk underwear and you could go to prostitutes, etc - but on another level I don't really need to be reminded that there was no indoor plumbing in the middle ages. -_-

But if you like Fantasy and RPGs, this is really one of the best. Tube levels with no real freedom like Oblivion, but I personally liked being able to just enjoy the story without constantly searching on maps and in journals where to go next.

I don't know much about AC2, but if it's like the first one, then you can't really compare them.
It would be like comparing Baldurs Gate 2 to Diablo 2. Very different games.

It will be worth it. Within a four days of release there were 60 odd pages of posts on the main forums discussing the ending.

I was quite surprised as I was looking through the posts at how hard people seem to be finding it, I'd guess I lost my whole party and had to reload somewhere between 5 and 10 times in the entire game playing on normal mode. Played as a mage with arcane warrior and blood mage specialization that first playthrough, with Alistair, Leliana and Morrigan. I was level 21 when I finished.

Playing as an arcane warrior is kind of a cheat mode. :D
On the other hand if you're playing as a rogue/warrior with maybe 1 mage in the group and you didn't spec much crowd control with that mage, it's hard even on easy.
Especially if you don't plan out every fight with poisons and traps.
There are people playing solo as an arcane warrior on hard or even nightmare...

    On romance and sex scenes:
WTF is up with that sex scene? It's horrible.
I don't need CGI porn or anything, but Morrigan wears more to bed than she does the rest of the game. Where does that bra come from? She gets dressed to have sex?
It's like they got cold feet at the last second and replaced a 'real' sex scene with this clothes-on-fumbling.
They show much more risqué stuff with the desire demon and the forest spirit.
They could have just played with angles like most movies do, so that the precious children who might play it are not exposed to evil nudity. Or have them under a blanket. Or just fade away like in Jade Empire.
This feels like a total cop-out. Like "It's okay to decapitate enemies, but we better leave the undies on!"
This way I had to laugh at the sex scene. Great job guys.

    extra spoiler

At the ending when I decided to lie with Morrigan they also played this romantic music. It was totally inappropriate. I just decided to father a child, just so that I could send the soul of an Archdemon into it and spare my own life that way. NOT romantic at all.

PS: Despite my complains, the "Surprise me." option at the brothel is still awesome.

At least you didn't get screwed over as much as female players

Not only was I romancing Alistair and had to watch him sleep with her while that stupid music played (well either that or watch him die as he offered me no choice in killing the archdemon unless I left him behind [and since he was my tank that really wasn't an option]) If I make him king and happen to be anything other than a human noble he dumps me. Heck even if I am a human noble I have to have a ridiculously high persuasion skill to get him to marry me and I still have to go through that stupid sex scene with him and Morrigan. And I realized that female wardens have a good chance of becoming Broodmothers. Oh yay. >_>

Quick question - does anyone own the PS3 version?

I'm seriously considering buying a PS3 - and this is one of the games I would be interested in buying. I've read some complaints about the PS3 graphics - but is that in comparison to the PC version exclusively or is the XBox360 version also superior?

    @Kensington:

Comparison of graphics on all three platforms.

PS3 gameplay (Human origin without cut scenes).

It seems like the PS3 relies less on bloom effects to make it look good, but I do see more shaders on the armor compared to the 360. It looks plain beautiful on the PC, of course.

The 360 looks closest to the PC graphics, which honestly has the best look to it.

But honestly, I wouldn't want to buy this for PS3. I would hate trying to play this with a controller... The controls just ... No. They wouldn't mesh.

Yeah, I saw it on a friends 360, my three year old PC beats the hell out of it. I'm waiting for the one guy to finish the rest of the high res textures.

Player made free Mods. Another benefit of PC gaming.
