Let's not forget, Fox is one of the producer's is it not? I doubt Fox is going to do this half-assed. Graphics/special effects will probably be good, fight scenes will no doubt be great. Whether or not this will be a failure will be decided on the acting, the script, and the story telling..........and the hair.

Me thinks that they are not going to follow the manga story. I think they are going to just take the Goku vs Piccolo arc from Dragonball and make it when they're adults. So, most likely no Frieeza, Cell, or Majin Buu.

IMO, the movie would be fail if it had any saga after the Saiyan saga in it.

 

I enjoyed the Cell saga (Though it took way too long. For fuck's sake, they stared at each other for five episodes) but after that if got kind of weird with all the new, better Super Saiyan transformations.

 

The Cell saga ruined it for me. DragonBall was alright, DBZ was good up until that. Cell just came off super gay and the constant episodes full of nothing were ftl.

 

The Cell Saga was FTL, but the one after that was Worse. Majin Buu or some shit. ANd how many times did that nigger die in the series only to be brought back? 9 billion?

Oh I wouldn't say the cell saga was the worst. I seem to remember them being on Namek for a damn long time and the fight with Goku and Frieza lasting about 30 episodes.....they also kept rehashing clips making the scenes very long drawn out and boring.

Hence ARE WE STILL ON NAMEK!

But I do agree that the Cell saga was just annoying with the final fight being utter ridiculous.

The kid just walked around for 10 minutes, punched cell then walked back over to punch him again <_<

 

Yes, Cell Saga was the worste. Although I enjoyed the Frieza Saga the most. Turnin' fuckin' Super, was awesome.

When Saiyaman entered the story, I just kind of winced and endured, hoping it would be over soon. Kind of like being raped in prison.

 

Saiyaman was great. The highschool stuff (and Videl) not so much. Everything after that went down hill. I think the show could have saved itself if Gohan hadn't turned out to be a pussy. His decision to study and forsake training completely was a dumb dues ex for Gohan getting pwnt by ... that orange wizard guy.

DBZ was supposed to end with the Frieza Saga, it's sorta funny how it endured as long as it did.

 

My thoughts EXACTLY.

I met all my friends via DBZ. My best friend had a Cell action figure on the bus line. I owe DBZ my current life.

I will see the movie. And I will pray they say 'over 9000' about something.

Agreed 100% Gohan was my favorite character. Seeing him go ape shit on cell was EPIC WIN for me back then. And then seeing him turn into such a massive pussy in the next saga hit he hard... if it weren't for Majin Vegeta and Vegeto I would have stopped watching all together. Though I did enjoy reading all the BAMF!Gohan fics to make up for the shows failure.
