    Indeed. It wasnt a Hogwarts taught spell, which says a lot more than people realise.

    I don't think that duels should be that long winded. If you are good, you can defend yourself for a little while, but the beam that shoots out of wands will be pretty fast. I doubt that people can duel for like 10 minutes straight. More like 20-30 seconds if it is a 1v1. But when it is a battle with a group vs another group, maybe 2-10 seconds a person. And with spells flying everywhere, maybe even less than that.

    If a story is just Person A casts spell at Person B there is a reason, and that reason is that the person can't write battle scenes for shit and are saving you the pain of trying to decipher what they would write, so don't be a twit. :p
