No Duke Nukem Forever?! WRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRY!?

 

Why, did you expect it to be released within your lifetime?

 

How depressing. I was hoping for another decade of waiting for this game before it got cancelled.

 

Yeah, pretty depressing. Not impressed

 

Hardly a surprise. I don't feel good about being so unsympathetic towards a company that's gone bust in the middle of a recession, but 10 years worth of delays is patently unacceptable.

If you haven't just cancelled your game after 5 years and started to get on with a new project, you deserve the financial freefall you're certain to go into. Other game studio's have been far less fortunate after far far shorter periods of time. 3D Realms got what was inevitably coming to them.

Have a look at this post from 3D realms from a decade ago if you want to chuckle morosely about the game we waited for fucking ever for.

 

Uh, it's true that realms has gone belly up, but another company still owns the publishing rights, so it could still come out at some point, if Take Two wants it too.

 

Nah. DN:F is going with 3DR. They "leaked" like 40 HQ pics and the entire plot online already....

Some other company is still making the Handheld Trilogy though.

 

Well I guess that's something, kinda sucks though, I've been looking forward to itfor like 8 years now. Though you older people have probably been waiting about 12 years by now.

 

A part of me is trying to believe that it's actually finished and this is just an elaborate marketing campaign....

Truth be told I lost hope in it being finished ages ago, I mean with a development that long, just how much work have they wound up discarding because it's gotten too old?
