Is it just me, or are alot more people writing 'Dumbledor' instead of Dumbledore lately? I swear I've seen 'Dumbledor' coming out of no where more and more lately.

    Here or in Fan fictions?

I haven't really noticed if it's in FF's, people do use names like Dumassdore and stuff but not just leaving off the "e"

Everywhere, though mostly in fan fiction.

Naw, I think authors made that mistake more in the past than in the present. They seem to have gotten it by now.

Yes, I've seen it around quite a lot. It's actually very annoying.

That is true. I remember a few stories even had 'Serious Black'.

I have seen several Hairy Pooters in my time, I mean come on people, he is the main character and has an easy name, how on earth do you mispell it, especially that badly?

I have seen Delores a lot, but I am not sure if that is wrong, or just spelled differently in America.
I see a lot of people do imperious as the incantation for the curse.
I think the most annoying mis-spell I see is Avada Kedevra

I don't think I've seen 'Dumbledor' a lot. I have, however, seen far too many people calling him 'Dumbledoor'.

McGonagall's name is another big offender - even though it's in the MS Word dictionary *rolls eyes*

When JK was thinking up names, she didn't take into account the poor dumbasses who can't spell.

Yes. I've seen her name spelled in some pretty shocking ways.

Hermioene - Seen that. Pretty bad.

    Serverus - That is another.

I decided to take a look at the 'mangled canon names' section of the 'best of babbling chronicles' quotes, and found a lot of Dumbledore mis-spellings (alongside lots of others... for instance, 'sroius', 'Profecer McOnegle' and 'Quadric'):

Dimbledore (just lack of proof-reading there, I think)
    Dumbeldoor
    Dumbodoor
    Dumblecore (lack of proof-reading...)
    Dumbleodre (lack of proof-reading...)

I really didn't think it was THAT hard to spell!

I've only gone back two best of posts, because as hilarious as they are, they're also sad because they're taken from actual stories...

And let's not go into the childish name calling such as 'Moldy Warts' and 'Death Munchers' - particularly irksome in non-humour stories.

I've seen Rubyus here and there.

    McG is horrible.

But the worst are Zambini, "Avada Kedavra!", "Cruciatus!, "...the imperio curse...", and "..the stupefy curse..".

I can tolerate them all except one: Lilly.

Yup. Even in humor, they are annoying. It's just not funny.
