Fuck if I know what Death Stranding is supposed to be about (if I had to guess it might be using concepts they didn't get to use when Silent Hills got canceled?), but even with my disappointment in certain aspects of MGSV, I'm glad Kojima's still in the business.

I don't like that suit (IMO, unlike a lot of other superheroes, Spider-Man's suit has never really needed changing since the very beginning), but this new Spider-Man game looks like it could be good.

Hah, just watched the Sony presser again (not on my damn phone this time!) and I just realized the main guy in Days Gone is Starkiller from Force Unleashed. Cool.

It's pretty crazy how facial modelling has gotten to a point where I can recognize voice actors by the video game character's appearance. Obviously, only when they model said actor.

 

Really wasn't expecting them to showcase VR FFXV...

Ah well, Zelda reveal should be soon at least. Really hope this game is actually good and not like Starfox Zero was.

 

Oh damn, I thought Arkham VR would just be a tour the bat cave simulator, but:

Mass Effect: Andromeda... I'm never going to forgive Bioware for screwing up the first series, I don't like the concept of going to a whole new galaxy when there's so many unexplored parts of the Milky Way still, Inquisition was largely a disappointment, and the whole team over at Bioware is filled with incompetent morons and SJWs. So as much as I like the idea of space exploration and all that, there's too much weighing the scale on the other side for me to really be excited. And if anything good does come out of it, all I'm going to be thinking is "that's great, but it should've been in ME 1-3."

 

Will it be Spider-Man game I'm waiting for? Too soon to tell, but I'm positive. One thing that a perfect Spidey game needs to include in my opinion is a part were you can play as Peter and have his typical Parker's luck while dealing with his life problems. If it's not included, it's not a deal-beaker, but they better have a classic costume as a standard content to get, not a paid DLC, or I will refuse to buy this game no matter how good it will turn out to be.

Nothing can be said about Kojima's new game, but after so many years of him teasing his other than MGS projects that he was always too busy to do, I expect big things from him.

 

Not sure about actual voice acting and the subtitle, but Zelda looks pretty cool.

Days Gone looks very similar to The Last of Us to me.

I'm mostly excited for the FFXV Cindy VR dating sim.

Picking and choosing from my first impressions:
Dishonored 2 looks pretty gimmicky. Animations look to be really low effort (or just a beta build idk)

Days Gone is pretty lame, both in demo, premise, and graphics.

New Spider-Man actually looks promising. Not a huge fan of the suit design, but there's likely to be different options to be unlocked.

Excited the Spiderman game, even if the costume looks too much like a Captain Spider design.

I missed swinging around New York after I lost my old Spiderman 3 disk, this feels like a game I've been waiting for.

 

Honestly, I feel like they've pretty much had web-slinging down for years, with the very odd exception. I'm way more curious how they handle combat. Will it just be running up to people and button mashing? Will it be a knock-off Arkham system? Or, hopefully, will it be more flourish-y, skill-combo-like?

Example; You come upon a group of thugs robbing a bank, you swing in and fly-kick one guy, as he's flying, you web him and slingshot him into another thug before binding them in web and hanging them from the ceiling etc and so on.

 

The Amazing Spider-Man movie game had an Arkham knock-off system. I remember thinking it worked well enough, but really needed some work.
