At least on my phone, I seem to have gained the ability to edit the first posts of threads practically everywhere (I've tried in the library, in Site-Related Support, and in Politics) for threads I didn't start. The edit button comes up, and if I click it I go to the normal Quick-Edit view. I haven't actually tried changing anything, though, so it is possible that attempted changes wouldn't go through.

I'm taken to the usual "You do not have permission" page while attempting this on PC.

On phone, I get the "quick edit" and when I attempt to edit your post my permission is denied as well. Probably just looks possible because it's a phone convenience thing.

On PC I get the edit button but when I tried to save the post (without changing anything) it gave me this message:

It's just temporary. Once we've passed the point where everyone should have been done with putting up their bookmarks, the button will vanish again.

This has been fixed. It was just a link however.

Seemed similar enough to warrant posting here. I can see an edit button on ALL posts of the OP (his fluffiness) in the Narutomafia in Little Italy. Clicking it takes me to the normal edit page, though I haven't tried confirming an edit.

Debugging in production. ;) Depending on where the plugin hook code runs in there's different variables in scope that you need to query for information like the userid of the current user. Had to figure out which one.
