Same. I was hoping it'd be a coffee table art book, and it turns out to be exactly that.

Forget the "making of" DVD and the dragon statue [am I supposed to display it next to statues of unicorns, dolphins, skull throned warriors, and other tacky rubbish?]. The concept art book is where it's at.

 

I agree with Yak. I'd rather own the book than the statue. If it was pewter instead of plastic (unless it is), then that'd be cool. But I still wouldn't be paying $150.

 

I hate the fact that I will probably buy this simply for the art book, one more to add to my collection over the years...There goes quite a bit of my next paycheck.

Very... Nearly all of the female facial structures are recycled across the "races". It's a little harder to tell with the males, since the sexual dimorphism is more prevalent with them.

On an unrelated note, is it just me or do the High Elves have massive jaw bones(at least the males, but even the females when compared to some of the other races)?

 

From what I saw on the Bethblog, all the races look rather brown and dirty. Hopefully that's not indicative of the game and engine as a whole, since last thing we need is Elder Scrolls 5: Modern Warfare 2.

It makes sense though, if your character is a peasant, to be that brown, but I just hope it doesn't stay that way.

 

Dude, Argonians look way cooler than they used to. I'll probably still pick Breton, but I'll at least be tempted to pick something else.

 

If they look this good already, the better body version is going to look amazing.

Well, those were all pre-made. Which probably means that someone just hit the randomize button. You'll be able to customize, more likely then not.

 

They're still doing the mono-race Khajiit thing in direct defiance of the fluff, which, really, is endemic of the entire Elder Scrolls franchise - the fluff being flat-out ignored whenever convenient. For those that aren't as obsessed as others, there's seventeen distinct Khajiit subspecies, each linked to a phase of the moons, but both Morrowind and Oblivion only had Suthay-raht Khajiit.
