Extremely excited to play this game. Tomorrow is going to pass by so slowly until I get it, I can tell.

Also, good news for PC players that use mods - I'm currently participating in a closed Beta run by Dark0ne (the guy who runs the TESNexus) for the Nexus Mod Manager, which is hopefully going to be fully implemented for Skyrim. It makes installing mods so much easier - basically, you just click on a button on the mod's download page, and the program installs it for you just like that. Honestly makes my life that much easier.

    I haven't really read this thread, but I have a quick/simple question/statement:

Is the gameplay going to be similar to Oblivion in that as you level up all the monsters/rats/whatever also level up with you? Because that was one of the things about Oblivion that I didn't like much.

Yes, level scaling is part of Skyrim. Apparently it's nowhere near as bad as the level scaling in Oblivion though. They've had a couple of Fallout games to get it right.

edit: And someone will mod it out in no time flat, anyway.

You lucky bastards. It's gonna be three months at least until I can afford a PC that'll run this game. Until then, I'll have to content myself with streams and reviews.

...Hmmm... I wonder if I can run the new CS...

My collectors edition arrived today. I have no idea how they managed to deliver it today, but the dragon statue is :awesome

I'm going to frame the Skyrim map and put it above my desk.

Dammit. I can't even play the game and I have four different mod ideas running through my head. My brain is gonna explode at this rate.

So Skyrim is pretty sweet so far. I stole a horse and galloped over the country side. Rode down a vertical wall a few times, but meh. Lit a few necromancers foolish enough to attack me on fire and now I'm at the College of Winterhold to learn some badass new spells and shiz. Gandalf eat your heart out.

I am looking forward to the game, but I think I will wait till some bugs get fixed and modders have a chance to go at it.
I think I only played part of Morrowind unmodded.

Don't understand why folks refuse to play through the vanilla version at least once. That way you can get a feel for what you like, or don't like and mod it.

    Meh, 56 minutes to go.

    Played for a couple hours.

    Started out as an Orc.

Hunted down a stag. Lost track of it (it fucking swam away downstream).

Got my first Word. Got a few spells. Kicked some ass.

    Totally addicted.

Yeah, addicted too. My guy's a Nord, who I made to look like Ned Stark (And have him wield a greatsword and kill wolves with it, and he will always take the honourable path!) and he too hunted a deer downstream for an hour... It got away, too. My Moby Dick. Forget dragons, it's Deer Hunt.

Also, the books. So much win in the books. Guide to Whiterun and The Thief's Virtue were so lulz.

I'm torn between this and Battlefield 3. In the opinion of those who've played both, which should I buy?

    The Witcher 2.

Heh, but seriously, I'll try this at some point. As it's not a multiplayer like BF3 though, that's getting priority - can't be letting those pesky nub cunts get too far ahead of me, rank- and skill-wise. Skyrim will be the same in a few months.

Looks like Amazon will disappoint again, 17:00 and my copy still hasn't being dispatched yet. If I didnt want the hardcopy for my collection and the map so bad I'd of just ordered off of steam, practically the same price one you count the first class postage costs.
