Haven't played master, but adept is super-easy mode for a mage, and expert is a pretty good balance between fun and challenge,

Adept got a bit tricky in places for my character, since it's a pure mage who shuns destruction magic.

Namely, at one point in the game I had a real problem with hired thugs. They killed me about 10 times before I managed to find a strategy that worked/get lucky. In the end I landed upon: conjure familiar, then run away, then use scroll of mass paralysis (first time I tried this without the running away part and had half the town after me as a result), then use a fireball scroll, raise the fireballed thug as a zombie, get another thug down, raise that one as a zombie too... win. Took a while though.

But everything's become a doddle since I got Summon Flame Atronach.

If you need the large address addon that enables more than 2 gig RAM to play stable, DO NOT LOG INTO STEAM!

The new patch makes it so the .exe wont run without steam and also, that it will not launch if modified. Also its a forced update, started updating for me even with "do not update this game" on.

Found this mod I thought some people might like. Replaces the main menu's music with a violin/heavy metal (or just the violin part if you prefer) cover of the kick-ass Game of Thrones theme. There's a link on that page to the cover if you want to listen to it beforehand. I prefer the one that's actually used in the show to this cover, but apparently that's all mired up in copyrights and such so it couldn't be used.

Looks good, but I'll probably wait for the 1.0 release.

At this stage what I'd really like is a mod that just made the mouse more sensitive in menu screens lol.

I'd rather wait for DarkN to make the mod instead.

My modified TESV.exe works fine as well. For some reason Steam doesn't seem to remember when I change the automatic download setting though.

Also, check this out. Thought it was interesting.

Sweet. Hopefully there'll be expansions with a fully fleshed-out Morrowind and Cyrodiil. Skyrim is already epic, but this would make it a game for the ages.

In Oblivion you could technically go into Morrowind, but it wasn't any area you went to in TES III, and it was badly textured and empty. Nothing ever came of it. I had thought the same of all the areas you could get into in Skyrim, with them just being filler, but seeing that White-Gold Tower, horribly untextured as it is, and the archway/path thing in that link has made me reconsider. I kind of doubt that they'll map out the entirety of Morrowind and Cyrodiil again for DLC, but going to certain areas I could believe.

Well I'm not paying for any extra shit to their game. I either get it for free, or it can gtfo. Period.

Man what you get for Skyrim is fucking amazing. Compare with other trash for the same amount and weep for the industry.

I don't remember doing that, but I guess it's possible. Doesn't sound like me, though.
