There was a particular fic that I'm trying to remember the name of. It featured a Harry who had run away from the Dursleys at a young age, was living in the woods and had discovered magic leading him to conclude he was some sort of elf. If I recall correctly he had a dog for a while and met a snake, I think. He also made bargains with any children he came across or offered them boons at least.

It was actually quite good, I think in was in the almost recommended thread. Anyways, thanks for any help in finding this fic.

 

Sounds like an awful slash/creature fic from the restrictedsection.
