Yep, that's long range smuggling in a nutshell. If you pick up some more missions by either waiting a little for the bulletin board to refresh (which happens about every 10 minutes), or using the "exploit" of switching between open-goup-solo-open, it's even more profitable. If your trade rank is high enough, you can make 30-40 million per run.

$277 before postage, dafuq. That's twice the price of the standard x52.

Yeah, I paid 250 (inc postage). I remember the pro was a bitch to find. They've probably stopped manufacturing them and the prices have gone up with low supply? I dunno.

Afaik, the biggest difference between the reg and pro is the rigidity of the stick. I thought the silver looked tacky too, but the price diff at the time was around 80 bucks, so I just bit the bullet.

I've not used the OG one, but the Giantbomb guys have it plugged into the pc on their set, so I imagine it's fine.

There are cheaper alternatives, but not many with the twist (yaw) axis (you'd normally need pedals for that). It's not something hardcore hotas flight sim enthusiasts like, but i think it's vital for space sims.

For the record, if you want an alternative to long range smuggling to make money, brainstorm yourself a ship that can hold as much cargo as possible and use EDDB.io's single hop route or loop route tool's to find profitable trading opportunities.

Use the loop route finder to find systems that sell I.Slaves cheap, then use the single hop route to find systems within your range that are profitable to sell at.

It can actually be more profitable than LRSmuggling missions, once you've got big enough cargo hold's. In my Anaconda I can pull out like 1.2-1.8 million credits per jump on a single hop route trading Imperial Slaves.

The benefit is that you remain in the bubble and can just do it once or twice, or a bunch of times depending on how much time you have.

Edit: Disclaimer- Imperial Slaves are more like indentured servants, since they sold themselves into slavery to pay off debt, so if anyone dislikes slavery think of it more as helping them pay their debts off.

Lol, justify all you want. I bet 90% of those slaves are illegal.

Besides, why would you need to smuggle 'legal' or 'indentured servants'?

Err... you don't need to smuggle I. Slaves in imperial space. Only in Federation space.

I'm arguing the logic. Why, if they've indentured themselves to resolve debt, would they need to be smuggled to non-imperial systems?

The money? Maybe. As I said, I bet 10% of those 'transactions' would be legit.

    That's probably generous.

I think it's probably just some weird Federation/Imperial thing. -shrug- TBH all I know is it's profitable for me. It feeds the Anaconda.
