Wow... all the units of the Gears of War and Unreal series have spoiled those boys.

I was over there Friday and their parking lot, say maybe 50% of it, looks like something you'd see in Bruce Wayne's really fucking fast car garage.

Lambos, Maserati's, Audi R8 , etc. They got a covered awning for parking some of the more expensive cars. They also have a 20 foot + model of one of the characters, couldn't tell if it was Gears or an Unreal guy.

I'm doing the planning for expanding their office from the three story medium size it is now, to the monster size it will be, roughly three times the parking, and increasing it to the size of a Walmart.

Be happy, looks like the graphics engine coders of the best games out will be putting some shiny new shit into our controllers in the next few years.

Web images, but accurate, save for their door has stickers on it, and the blow up dude. That concrete pad in the upper pic to the left side is a basketball court. I'll up images whenever their new building is done.

Nifty. Seems like we'll be getting some new shit in the year after its finished, given that expanding to this size must be for a reason.

Middy: Cliffy B's was the one with the toy Lancer in the back seat, right?

I don't know what Epic would need loads of space to work on, its probably to early for Unreal 4 to get of the ground, (presumably we'd need to hear some details about the going to take at least another 2 years and UT4?

Fuck, I've had enough with UT3! Most expensive limited edition PC game I only played for a week.

I'd say they most likely need the space to accomodate their massive egos.

I was actually wrong, they're building another building as well, not just adding on. Second building will be the same size as the unmodified original building.

That is a fuckload of office space.

Wow. I'm a big fan of Unreal Tournament 2004, (don't have the computer power t play 3) but what the hell do they need a whole new building for?

Dunno that's not in the specs. Like I said the original building turns into something bigger then a Walmart, and the second one is as big as the original first.

I'd heard rumors a long time ago about them being interested in doing a console, that'd be awesome if that was true.

Update, the building is almost done, parking space has tripled, and there's a fuckload of new expensive cars being shipped in, mostly with California plates.

Gears 3 and Bullet Storm got announced, but they're mostly done already, still want to know what the fuck they're doing with triple the building space.

An ISP here in Australia has over 300 developers working full time in Perth at iiNet just doing software development for their stuff. Think of how many developers a developer like Epic Games could employ in making their engines, applying their engine, maintaining their engine, deploying the engine, doing games etc. There would be huge sections for different sections of development from design, programming, testing, development, maintainence, customer support etc. Then admin, executives, ceo's, finacials, lawyers. The list can go on for a long time, include support staff like cleaners, catering.

Yeah but look at what Epic's been doing with just that small ass building for a looooong time now.

Triple the space. Throw in the polish office they bought/own half of. Big shit is coming. Maybe they'll start making more games with their awesome engines instead of a few killer games, but with the main money coming off new graphics engines.

Actually, I forgot, in the lower right of the pic, by the basketball court, is all new parking too. Looking at it, now it seems like four times the office space, not three. Keep in mind, it's 3 stories.

That's one big lot. Did you use Autodesk software for the rendering? Or Maya?
