It's a combination of things, really, from a very unfortunate camera angle to her certainly not getting cuter as she got older. Not to mention that hair color; to say it's unattractive on her is the mother of all understatements.

And when you can be in a picture with Rupert Grint and Bonnie Wright and pull off anything other than hot? Well, let's just say it doesn't speak well for you. I mean, she *should* look like she belongs in the Hotties thread by comparison, but she looks pretty damned awful, to be honest.

Now, I have to agree with Blaise and, as much as it pains me, Taure as well, when they say that we happen to like the idea of Luna a lot more than Lynch's looks actually warranted. That said, I still say she was awfully cute when the OotP movie came out, and that's how I'll try to recall her.

I still support Oz/Evanna though, stalker-creeper angle notwithstanding.

 

Half of me wants to do the internet white knight thing and say shes just having a off day and to leave her alone.

The other half is agreeing and sad that Bonnie actually looks better than her in the first picture.

But a 100% of me is laughing at those faping to the Faux luna pictures.
Lets face it. In the movies, she has a team of people making her look good.

Shes done filming and she doesn't seem the type to have a make up artist doll her up every minute of every day.

She faces the reverse ugly duckling syndrome unfortunately.
Some are ugly young then turn hot, unfortunately she is the other way.

I still like her amongst all the cast, she is the most relateable of them all in my opinion. I don't know if she will be doing any movies after this or even appear in any shows, but she had a good run and played her role well.

And Watson is still hot but that was a one in a million fluke.

Holy shit. Normally I'm a huge fan of pale women going red, and in most cases, it's extremely flattering. In hers, it makes her skin appear.. older? I'm unsure how to word it, but it looks unnatural and isn't flattering.

With that said, while she looks perfect as blonde, I wouldn't ever call her "hot." She's incredibly adorable and pretty in the quirky girl-next-door sort of way, but she just isn't conventional-looking enough to ever be considered universally hot. That's not a bad thing.

 

She looks as if she's been left out in the rain. She's gone all mouldy and her hair has rusted. Ick.

Redheads are usually hot - she's just stale. :/

 

It's a little scary just how much red hair really does not work for her at all.

It makes her eyes pop out in this extremely unsettling way in which she almost vaguely resembles Dobby. That, or Gollum. I'm not sure which would be worse.
