Old game, been out since about same time as D2.

Its a FPS but in space. Space Fight Simulator.

What ya think, personaly I always loved that game.

 

I haven't played it, but I want to. I'm a big fan of space sims and tried hunting on the torrents sites for Freepace after finishing Freelancer just a few weeks back. It's a pity- Freespace 2 is meant to have a great modding community.

 

Both 1 and 2 were absolutely great games.

It's the first space fighter game that I played where I actually thought "holy fuck that ship is big."

The capitol ships are just enormous.

Cept the Freespace capital ships are fucking huge. That much I agree on.

Ah if only they made a Homeworld game like this. I wouldnt mind it.

If you guys want to here the community base for the source code project, I play multiplayer from time to time. and yes capital ship are Huge but they are nothing on eve online corp president ship, well nvm they are equal if the satanis class ship is ani indication...
