    Tokage no Ou 12.

Crazy bitch confirmed to be yandere for Tokage (as well as his eyes). Otherwise nothing much of note. Pacing on this series is really too slow for a monthly manga, and it has me considering dropping it and waiting for the light novels to eventually be translated instead.

The arc title "A Really Long Prologue" is telling. You'd think something like that wouldn't last more than three chapters but it just goes on and on. And this chapter felt no different than if I was read a weekly edition.

Somehow the revelation that Crazy Bitch is into Tokage (that's his name, right?) doesn't satisfy me much. My opinion of her is probably gonna be influenced by what happens to Tokage by the end of this and right now it looks like he just got brutalised (again) and has been left for dead. Or at least it looks that way.

    Tower of God.

Pretty bleh chapter, unless you really happen to like Hatsu.

    Cooking With Balls.

Hoped for more Erina than what we got, but the part at the end is pretty whoa if it's legit.

Honestly, does anyone else get the feeling that they are just reading the same manga over and over, just with different character models and slightly different settings?

One of these days we should make the DLP definite guide to shounen manga or something.

The boisterous, if good hearted main character, the overly shy and lacking in confidence girl who obviously has either a crush or at least a sort of sympathy for the main, which he obviously fails to notice and so on, and so forth...

Hells kitchen is another such manga with slightly different character stereotypes. It´s not even that I don´t enjoy following those but i really do get the feeling they are ALL the same. Many manga at least slightly divert in the middle or towards the end. But most of the time you can tell what is going to happen in almost any chapter in any of them.

Tbh, the manga about food I currently enjoy the most is Toriko, actually. Not because that one is so much more original or anything like that, but because there is at least a lot of creativity in anything but the basic plot structure and which is so ridiculously stupid most of the time you don´t take it too seriously.

If this is of any interest to anybody I would be happy to have a deeper discussion about manga in general. Because there are genuine pieces of art out there which are often quite hard to find. I imagine pooling resources there might be a good way to dig them out.

Pretty much. By the way, thanks again for always posting an update here. I tend to forget some of the rarer updating mangas I'm reading.

Well we'll probably get more Viole, it'll be interesting to see how he measures up against Anak, considering how he managed to take on Ran as well (albeit with the help of a lighthouse). Of course if Ran and Viole team up against Anak it will probably be a massacre.

It was heavily implied (two gunshots) that Viole shot both Ran and Anak up to Archimedes, so that won't be happening quite yet.

He knows that Viole has some kind of past connection to Koon A.A. but that's about it for what is confirmed. The rest depends on what Aguero might have told him about his old friend offscreen (actually, he might have also heard Koon referring to Viole as Baam right before the Arlene's Hand explosion, but he hasn't confronted Viole about this if he did).

    New Rosario.

Still wondering who Tsukune's designated opponent is going to be here, since everyone else has gotten one.

EDIT: Accidentally linked to the middle of the chapter rather than the first page, my bad.

I'm wondering do you think they are going to continue with Rai saving the day by pulling a rescue out of nowhere or is he finally going to run out of 'life force' and kick the bucket?

Well, he's probably gonna end up doing a rescue attempt again but I'm not sure if he'll be so successful. At this point he's probably going to get involved again and screw up at a critical moment, revealing that he's knocking on death's door.

The manhwa's pretty optimistic though so I wouldn't be surprised if Rai lasts until the end and then enters eternal sleep, rather than dying before the finish line.

It's pretty annoying really. You have this all-powerful character who steps in each and every time for the big damn heroes moment and you can almost feel the plot going down the drain.
Really what's the point if you have a guy who (almost literally) plays around with the enemy's strongest.
Then you find out that he has a limit. Great! Plot development and cliffies here we come!...Only to find out that he still kicks ass without many detrimental signs...
The latest battle was a real disapointment I tell you...
