Yeah, I'm alright with the logic behind both times the device has come out, but it needs to not become a constantly recurring theme. Seeing it twice already in the span of only 24 chapters of the series is worrisome. It would be annoying to see so many of Souma's victories have that asterisk beside them. And yes, for them to lose there would have to be some means of keeping Souma from being expelled because of it. Maybe they draw and the solution is to pick one to expel (obviously Megumi in this case).

    Also, Beelzebub 206.

And now things are getting veeeeeeery interesting.

Finally we get to see a deeper glance into the workings of the demon world. It was long overdue after the Jabberwock arc to be honest. One gets tired of the constant school yard brawls...

In light of this latest reveal, I now wonder whether we're going to see Oga legit lose. It's been a long time.

Indeed, BK201. Though Oga's attitude is a nice subversion of how some fights can have significant consequences. Other protagonists might back off but Oga treats this and that as two seperate things.

But I'm not a fan of whatshisface talking about manga conventions. I got sick of that when I was reading Medaka Box.

I think Oga's gonna legitimately lose this time. I guess this fight will be the showcase of his current full power. Could go either way, but I see this as a fight that he could actually lose.

    Shokugeki no Souma again.

Welp, time to see how sturdy that MC plot armor actually is.

I'm glad Shinomiya had a better dish, to be honest. Whatever happens next I'll be happy, now.

Same. Shinomiya's a douchebag, but this entire school scenario would be pointless if Souma were already at the level of being able to take down an alumnus, and for Megumi to be able to do it would be downright absurd. Curious to see what's going to pan out next. I'm guessing Megumi is gone, but will manage to plead the judges into letting Souma hang on to his place at the school.

I reckon the boss guy will pull some crap. It may be related to keeping his place or it may be some additional challenge...

I'm not sure I can see the mangaka dropping Megumi, though, and to be honest she's as good as any of the other secondary characters to have around.

I think the reason to do it is to properly sell the shark pit atmosphere of Tootsuki. Having an established main character get sent packing would really drive the point home and could serve to make Souma get seriously serious about the school (which, right now, I don't really think he is). Having him and Megumi both survive, especially at this point, is kinda bleh.

I don't expect Doujima to interfere further, except maybe to allow Souma a shot to save himself (and only himself) in a shokugeki of his own.

    Rosario.

Arc resolution felt very rushed and anticlimactic, to be honest. But at least we can see that the Masked King hasn't been forgotten about. I was hoping that useless Outer Moka would be dead and buried for good too, so I'm a bit displeased to see her return.

Rushed, very. Gyokuro got an appropriate end, didn't she know transforming into a monster and going all rage never helps? Clueless scrub.

I hated the Masked King appearance. Very out of nowhere. Definitely makes the victory anticlimactic when a new, bigger, badder guy pops right out of the woodwork.

Outer Moka, gone? I fucking wish. Never gonna happen. Well, maybe they'll fuse in the final chapter or something retarded like that. It'd be more fun if Outer actually was Akasha, who's been vivaciously living through her daughter and is the one Tsukune actually fell for.

I'm also fully expecting Kurumu and everyone else being completely shat on now that Moka's all back and stuff.

Beelzebub 207 I suppose this is where the series takes a turn for Darker and Edgier? Because if they really do kill off an MC like that...well shit just got real then.

All I can say for it is, it's now time for Oga to cross over the line into literal murder.

Indeed. We've seen Oga lose his temper both in and out of fights, but I don't think we've seen some genuine rage from him. So this should be a first.

    An oh-so-glorious first.

I would like for to Oga actually loose his cool and still be defeated.
Well either way my interest in Beelzebub just skyrocketed.

Whoops @ the last page. That really doesn't belong in a shônen manga. Fucking awesome! I don't believe he'll die (some demon power will allow him to survive), but that was really shocking.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lucifer just pulled a Trafalgar Law instead of landing a kill shot.
