We've finally gotten around to MC's dish in Shokugeki no Soma. The influx of side characters was getting very tiresome. Hopefully things progress from here.

I couldn't resist so I 'read' ahead on the raws. Can't understand a word of it but the overarching story... it's gonna be grand.

New chapter of The Gamer is out. It's been 24 issues, the novelty has worn off, just have something happen already!

Also, new chapter of the Flow. Still good, even if the artwork is... flimsy.

EDIT: Batoto just stopped working... and their Twitter status says they're "under attack". Lolwut.

Yes, looking at the Twitter status history they've been facing intermittently increased traffic from Chirstmas at least... But who'd DDoS Batoto of all sites? The mind boggles. o_o

    It's up again, anyway.

Yeah, I tried to read The Gamer. Fun concept for a couple chapters, but it got boring real fast.

    Tower of God.

Kinda disappointed in the villains (well, more particularly in Varagarv really). Doping with an item to give himself an invincibility buff is kinda beneath the 'Strongest Regular' and leaves me convinced that he's going to get fodderized by Androssi in the end. Which is fine, since I'd rather she win anyway. Reflejo I guess had to have something above and beyond himself to be able to fight against Baam. But that's not going to change the outcome.

Makes me wonder if the 'Executives' of FUG are Shinsoo Guardians...

Crackpot theory that popped up in my head.

... Man, after Beta's fight I was afraid SIU is gonna end this fight in this chapter too, what with his wrist and all. But looks like this might be a multi-capter Shinsoofest.

Which is cool. Also, B-rank regulars - wonder how they compare with, say, the strongest active ranker attacking with his signature technique? Wonder if Viole will break out that fire technique now, Emperor's Scorching Flame of Death iirc (didn't SIU joke that he learned it but wouldn't use it because of its embarrassing name or something)? ;)

Funny how SIU trolled us with Mad Dog; at the start of the arc he was being set up as Viole's final opponent, but it's all Reflejo now.

Haha yeah, precision strike that. I was just generally being disappointed how obvious the set-up was, guess I should trust SIU more... a rather foreign concept. Mostly, all manga authors seem to be good for is killing an interesting story. :p

    Exceptions exist of course.

I kind of like how Komatsu seems to be set for accruing a Pokemon trainer set of weird birds that coincidentally happen to be incredibly valuable and useful. Calling it now, Wall Penguin spit or possibly the Century Soup itself will be necessary to cook Billion Bird so it doesn't taste like shit.

And now I want to see some kind of Pokemon/Toriko pencil and paper thing, where Pokeballs are developed as cutting edge gourmet containers to help Bishokuya hunt and bring home prizes from the gourmet world, and end up getting used to pit monsters against monsters for the sake of survival.

I think he's a sorcerer or something. We should at least check his basement for goat blood.

Final chapter of Beelzebub. Cute little epilogue, but I'm most interested by the note at the end about how Tamura is going to be doing some kind of spinoff.

Yeah, not the worst ending to a series I've seen. In fact, I think I'll even remember the end a little fondly.

Meh, spinoffs. Call me when he does something serious.

But the serious parts of Beelzebub are the worst parts.

    Shokugeki no Souma.

Eh, was hoping he would tie for first rather than what happened here. But the worst possible outsome would have been an outright win, since that would have set him up to lose in the final round.

Nice call on that bait and switch LT2000. Also I'm glad DLP has a place to talk about Tower of God, been reading for a long ass time now.

Also, A goddamn cooking manga. Now I have seen everything. That page where the effect of his food on the judges is shown as him punching them all in the face was amazing.
