Oddly unexpected; I never thought that she'd go back to her delinquent group. And Oga gets to be a referee. That should be fun.

She never really left, IMO. It's cool to see her don the coat again and officially take her position back up, but it's not like Aoi had ever truly retired from that lifestyle to begin with. What's more interesting to me is that this battle has brought her feelings for Oga directly into the open, stated clearly in front of him (not that he has any excuse not to have already known). He's really kind of being a dick if he continues to ignore the matter now. Which is precisely what will happen, I'm sure.

That's probably why I never thought she'd go back. Other than Nene's attempts to make her a member again, their dynamic never really changed.

Girl admits she has feelings for you? Ignore, ignore, ignore. It's the standard procedure.

...Okay, the only example that comes to mind is Naruto but it's probably happened elsewhere. Usually with the excuse of temporary deafness or amnesia.

I don't know, the "confession" wasn't what I was expecting after reading your comments about it. It wasn't definite or clear, and Oga is either playing dumb to not notice all the previous hints, or he's really that dumb. In both cases he's likely to completely ignore this too.

On the other hand, the confession could be the reason he switched back! Oga/Aoi OTP :awesome

EDIT: I wrote "Oga is that dumb" twice.

I actually prefer Hilda, but I could live with either outcome I suppose. Assuming there ever is an outcome.

^I doubt there'll ever be one. Beelzebub is played for gags a lot, and that kind of manga rarely has a definitive romantic conclusion. Though the author bringing up that Hilda is Oga's age might be a sign that something will happen there - there's no other reason to bring it up.

    Shokugeki no Soma.

Fuck I want that dish, and I don't even like fish. Hoping Soma outright wins the challenge but I'm expecting a draw or some other kind of non-decision to keep both guys 'intact' as it were.

Eren is getting more and more badass as time goes on, and Mikasa is still showing us why she's the baddest ass around.

Damn Hajime Isayama for giving us false hope.

    Tower of God.

Wasn't satisfied with what we got out of the Viole/Androssi bit, but I should have known SIU wasn't going to give us a resolution quite yet. These last couple chapters have really felt too short, mostly because I think SIU is trying to do too many things simultaneously. Hopefully that will be better next week, with no Koon and Team Tangsooyuk crap to take up space (tbh, I'm kind of getting sick of Koon and Wangnan and hope not to see them again for a while).

I still think they're going to get their asses handed to them pretty badly. Like I've said before, the 'main event' of this arc is set to be Team FUG vs Koon and the Season II team. The logical purpose of this battle is to show off how ridiculously badass the FUG group is.

Ugh, I gave up on Soul Eater a while back. Just became too nonsensical. Still, the final Mifune-Black Star fight will always hold a special place in my heart.

Damn, that was such a long time ago. I agree though, it's one of the best fights in this manga. I did stop reading it a while ago too, but recently came back. The last 20 or so chapters have been great.

    Yet more cooking.

LOL, that boy is so obviously gay for Soma. I foresee an intergender tsundere deathmatch between Erina and Aldini. Winner gets...something, but I'm sure it will involve foodgasm.

That's not a cooking manga. That's a testosterone filled adventure, full of muscle, badassery and testosterone.

    And hawt-ness.

But did they have to make the chapter's name the Sparkling Soul? Dear god...

I was hoping for a beatdown from Oga's sister as well... Though I guess Aoi powering up and reclaiming her spot as the current head of the Red Tail's is acceptable.

Side note: It was funny watching all the Red Tails reactions when they found out Oga's sister was the first leader a few chapters back.

T'was a pretty badass chapter. It feels like a long time since we last saw Aoi kick some ass. And a twist at the end, I think? I'm not sure what he was doing recently anyway.

It's been a long time since anyone but Oga got to really look cool tbh. As for the ending bit, it's pretty obvious that he's acting as a plant, though it would be cooler if he actually did turn traitor. It wouldn't end well for him, but at least it would be an actual curveball.
