I remember the Firefly online thread a while back, but rather than necro it I thought this may work for the newest update? Not a whole lot extra in the video, primarily customization of the ships and characters, but the map looks good.

    Youtube link.

It looks way too rough for a Platinum game. The enemies get right back up after doing a level billion hit combo to them and the camera looks awful.

Some of the stuff you can do combo-wise though looks neat.

I don't play Platinum games, but that looked like a dev demo to me rather than an actual snippet of the actual game.

That way the combat looked is what interests me, being able to switch between the elements seemingly on the fly and seamlessly weave them into a combo.

Either way, it's slated to have a 4 hour campaign with a few other modes (like pro bending? Dunno what that is) and a lot of replay value.

It's a downloadable title (I think I heard 40 us?) Which is probably being made to gauge interest.

Been playing Jet Set Radio for the past few two weeks, on and off, and it's been glorious. I just wish Sega would get off their lazy asses and port JSRF to PC as well, so I could enjoy the game again.

Also, pondering about whether to reinstall Fallout New Vegas, mainly because I'd have to go and mod the game all around again, and I've long since deleted the mods I've used last year. Some of them I can recall, while for most I just wander about the FNV Nexus.

Tried Divinity Original Sin, and it's a decent game, really loving it, but it's not managed to pull me in yet so far. Hell, Age of Decadence does it better for some reason, even though Div:OS looks far more gorgeous and has that comfy soundtrack to boot. Love Kiril's stuff, I really do.

Waiting for Torment - Tides of Numenera, Pillars of Eternity and Wasteland 2 is suffering. At least I got some Icewind Dale 1&2 to tidy me over until they come out.

Yeah, everyone is raving about Divinity. It's okay, but the super clunky movement really bothers me.

It's all really kind of silly too. I think I just beat the first act - killed BR and moved onto a foresty place - and the story hasn't really grabbed me. Nor has the RP aspects of the two main characters. Either give me no voice and let me actions do the talking or flesh them out.

I do love how you have countless ways to complete quests though.

Christ, they're actually making a Risen 3. Why? The first Risen game was decent enough, except for the shitty final boss, and Risen 2 might have looked gorgeous but I didn't get any sort of enjoyment from it as I might have from another not-Gothic game.

And the way they're going on about Risen 3... I don't have that much hope about it.

Has anyone here played Papers, Please? If so, would that person recommend it?

The gameplay is kind of deliberately boring and tedious, but the emotions it evokes in you are pretty real and terrible.

It's one you have to try, and not go on others' recommendations.

As a game, I didn't think it was fun... But that's the point? It's a hard sell, lol.
I didn't like it, but it was many people's GOTY. Very divisive.

And not very helpful... Lol, sorry.

I found it challenging, the UI is intentionally an obstacle.

Is it fun? No, not in the demo I played. Is it a neat concept? Sure. But it's something I'd rather watch a movie of, not play.

Really? From what I have seen/heard they pretty much more return to their classic Risen 1/Gothic formula which I personally like.
Of course it won´t be in the league of DA:I, Skyrim or The Witcher but I think/hope that they will deliver a solid game. (And the timing isn´t that bad, especially with all the delays of the other RPGs)

Won't be in the league of DA: I and Skyrim? What exactly do you mean by that? Their budget?

Huh, WoW is bringing back an upscaled and updated 40-man MC. Tarren Mill vs SS battleground too...

Rise of the tomb raider xbone exclusive...

I don't get it. Is the assumption that people who haven't bought either console yet will be swayed by *this* title?

Didn't SE famously bemoan the lack of sales of the original, on last gen, with 180m consoles out there?

There are maybe 4/5m xbones out in the wild atm. How many of those gamers will buy TR?

    So honestly baffled right now.

Are you talking about the sequel to the reboot? Because man, if you are, what the fuck is Squenix doing? They'd be throwing money away.

I doubt it'll remain exclusive for long. I'm certainly not buying an Xbone for it.
