Haven't actually played it, but all I've heard are good things about the game.

Try checking out Totalbiscuit's video about it. At the very least you can get a general look at the game.

 

Been playing Dragonball Xenoverse and gotta say I love it to bits, though there are parts that annoy the shit out of me. Like the drop rate, which is RNG naturally. Like the Super Saiyan Bargain Sale PQ. Like the Brolly PQ. Though, to be fair, I've finished the SSBS, but it was extremely irritating getting bounced on 2 Kamehameha UAs. But then I came across some mission that one of the kids gives me and it's basically me getting bounced between 3 Kamehameha UAs, so yeah, great fun.

 

Odran how did you beat the bardock mission, by great fucks I can't get past it

 

Just barely. I had to stick close to Bardock all the fucking time, couldn't let myself get carried by pummeling any of the little guys, and they have the ugly tendency to push you as far away from him as possible. Oh and let's not forget the Ki blasts stunning the shit out of you when least convenient. I filled all of my slots with health replenishing items because in the end I was getting hit way more than Bardock.

Mind you, it took me roughly an hour or two until I perfected the approach enough so that Bardock survived until I depleted Frieza's health sufficiently for him to start ranting. One time I actually got Frieza down to the required amount, but Bardock got killed in the last second so the mission was a failure.

Trust me, once you're done with that Time Scroll, and go for its PQs, you're going to hate it even more, because everyone's in SSJ mode and everyone's firing off their Ultimates at you, with no cost to their Ki or anything.

 

This is why I should have made a saiyan, but what the fuck is up with the AI, when they're your allies their retards when they're your enemy you're basically fucked if there's more than one of them.

 

Yeah, I made a Saiyan for my first character, really couldn't resist. Though I was disappointed with the hair choices for the male characters, really wanted to get something like Raditz's but instead the closest there is Yamcha's, the lack of SSJ3, and the fuckawful RNG. I've been trying to get a drop of Bardock's suit, 100x Kamehameha and Brolly's clothes for the past 3 hours and got nothing.

Well, not exactly nothing, but not what I was looking for.

 

Really? I thought that, if possible, you'd want to save the galaxy as an Oolong or Chiaotzu?

The latter sounds particularly amusing. Are the only options human, saiyan, namekian and android? (hybrids implied etc)

 

Human, Saiyan, Majin Buu thingy, Namekian, and whatever Frieza is.

Humans, Saiyans and Majins you can pick gender, which aside from the physical differences also has some stat differences.

So eight possibilities in total, which is the same amount of character slots you get.

 

Your own character creation race choices are Saiyan, Earthling, Namekian, Majin (Majin Buu's "race"...) and Frieza Clan. You can also play as the what 40+ DBZ characters. Oolong and Chiaotzu not included.

You can only be a fat Buu if you go male, no option for Kid/Super body.

Finally finished DA:I. I lost interest about 6 weeks ago - just grinding out secondary quests in my log book got a bit boring. As it turns out, I was only about 2 or 3 hours away from the end of the game. I didn't finish everything (I don't care enough about Solas, Iron Bull, or Cole to do their personal quests), but I've got about 100 hours into the game. Overall, I like it slightly less than DA:O (which is probably my favorite rpg on the 360), and way more than DA2 (which might as well not even exist).

Afterwards, I immediately downloaded Divinity: Original Sin on my PC - sometimes I forget how beastly my newly built PC is and that I can actually play video games on it. Anyways, I don't know much about the Divinity series, though that being said, I played Divinity 2 Ego Draconis probably about 4 or 5years ago now, and I enjoyed it well enough (it's hard to dislike being able to transform into a dragon), but I wasn't exactly blown away.

So far, I like it. The only real turn based rpgs I've played are the usual Bioware suspects (Baldur's Gate makes up a large part of my childhood). The only annoying thing seems to be a staple of Divinity games, in that there's large difficulty jumps if you don't know where you're going. I had to search 4 different places (at level 3, and only a couple hours in) before I found where I was supposed to go, which is away from all the level 6 orcs and level 7 wolves. Also, traps are OP as fuck.

 

I don't really care about Nintendo, or Platinum, but I know others do.



I'll just leave that there. I applaud them for at least doing something interesting with an IP I'm not sick of.

Or, developed a tactical, teamwork-heavy shooter on a system that doesn't support voice comms... Oh XD
