I think if you're a fan of action (by that I mean twitchy games; action, shooter, fighter etc) games, and devs take advantage to make said games 60fps on the NEO, it'll definitely be worth trading in your old console for the new.

If you're mostly into RPGs though, I wouldn't bother. Same if they only use the extra horsepower for higher fidelity.

The core is a 3D fighter but the story modes usually let you explore a bit. It's a very cinematic franchise.

Personally I think the gameplay is easier to understand than Dissidia. More characters, too.

Can't wait for this. Love Supergiant and this game looks unique as fuck.

Listen to the Giant Bombcast if you want more details on it, Jeff Gerstmann played it.

Essentially, you're 'exiled' from society into this wasteland, and the only way to get back is to compete in and win these 'rites'.

    Looks gorgeous too.

Dark Souls as a board game isn't something I ever would have believed if I didn't see that link for myself. Even after reading about it, I'm kind of unsure about how it works, but definitely seems worth looking into.

    1) You put your piece on the board.
    2) Total stranger comes by, pockets your piece, kicks you in the nuts, steals your wallet, and walks away.

The gameplay footage I watched had the player just running after a red line for twenty minutes and occasionally pressing a button to kick someone. Also the story seemed to be demonizing employment or some dumb shit. Oh, and isn't this the game they brought Anita Sarkeesian in for "creative input?"

What? The game just doesn't look like it's going to be any good, at all.

Which isn't really anything I'm surprised with, given that it's EA we're talking about, and DICE isn't what it used to be either. The fact that there's a beta for it alone speaks volumes. Also, those quasi-RPG elements with points purchase-unlocks. Mentions of how they simplified the controls. Yeah. Not shaping up to be a good game.

Regarding Supergiant's new game Pyre, TotalBiscuit has gameplay from PAXEast.

    Link

I linked the commentated version because it's a weird game, and his explanation helps. If you don't like the sound of his voice or whatever though, there's an unedited, uncommentated version on his channel.

Not sure if its been mentioned, as I don't regularly browse this thread, but Steam FF9 is amazing.

My main complaint with the original version were the character models and the way they would constantly wave their arms around when talking.

Not only are all the character models now gloriously higher def, but hte arm waving isn't as noticeable either! The award for most surprising model is Alleyway Jack/Gilgamesh. I had always thought that he just had a red affro in 9, but nope, it turns out he has a bandanna on and looks completely normal (outside of 4 arms).

This, combined with the cheats that I mainly use to make stealing on bosses palatable (one makes all your bars never run out, like HP/MP/ATB/Trance, the other is fast forward, so stealing goes by a lot faster). It's also funny in a way, because the programmers put more thought into the coding of the cheats then you'd think- You can't have the full bars cheat on during the first (at least, probably the rest too) Beatrix fight.

The graphical update, as well as general UI/sound quality update, makes the game very worth buying if like me FF9 is your favorite FF game.

Dawn of War III – Announcement Trailer

    Source for the quote above.

I can forgive the less than spectacular trailer, so long as everything else is on point.

Base building is back and I absolutely loved it back in Dark Crusade.

    And here's a few screenshots:
