    Disclaimer: Had a couple.

Last couple nights I've been playing two games: Miniclip.com 8 Ball Pool and Slither.io snake game. Been playing miniclip 8 ball pool on and off for a fair few years but literally only discovered Slither.io a couple days ago and I'm hooked.

Moral of the story, what stupidly simply online multiplayer games are you hooked on?

Games that require 0 sign up, 100% multiplayer that are easy to get into but have a surprisingly amount of depth to be good at.

I'm not sure if I'm showing my age or not but does anyone remember bonus.com before it was taken down years ago? In particular the tank game called Battlefield, not to be mistaken for the DICE Battlefield franchise.

(Jokes I know I'm showing my ages you 95.5% young fucks.)

    You other 4.5% are cool.

... I seem to be reminiscing/being a fucking sad sack tonight so if anyone wants to get their tank on hit me up.

I used to be really into pro wrestling. I haven't been interested in it in a few years, but I have something a love for booking simulators. I started out playing EWR back in... 2011-ish, and eventually moved on to TEW2013 when it was released.

Anyway, the other day I found out that a 2016 installment had been released for Total Extreme Wrestling. I decided, "what the hell", and shelled out the $35.

It is currently 2 A.M., I have not slept a wink, and it is the games fault. I've only booked one show so far, because I've had so much fun reading through character profiles, and playing around with the options and preferences. As usual, TEW had managed to be simultaneously in-depth and easy to play.

If you like WWE games, 2K16 became free a few weeks back on XB1 and will be free until sep 15th. It's a decent time waster.

On a different note, I recently bought the Stardock sale package for $50. It came with 6 games I've never played before, so it seemed like a good deal - 6 new games for the price of one new game, none of which I've played. I've only played two so far, but it's already been worth it.

    1) Sorcerer King. Surprisingly entertaining game. It's like a 4X strategy RPG where the Boss has already won, and you're a minion of his trying to break free. You have to balance building your army and getting ready before he realizes what you're doing, and actually stopping the Boss before he becomes a god. I played one 12 hour game on easy and finished it, before deciding to try out one of the other games. I don't think it would be hard to play for over 100 hours.

    2) Offworld Trading Company. I was skeptical with this one, but it had very good reviews, so I tried it next. It's an economic RTS which is pretty cool, and I found it to be very addicting. Games are quick too, and I don't think any of them took more than 30 minutes. There's different factions to play as and they all have different playstyles, though the thing that seemed to be working best for me was to rush a couple early claims on the blackmarket (if able), and get an offworld trading rocket up as soon as possible, with a good squad to protect it.

    3) Political Machine. By the description alone, I probably won't play this, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was fun.

    4) Sins of a Solar Empire; Rebellion. Now, Sins of a Solar Empire is only reason I know about Stardock at all, and why I bought this pack, as the game is very fun. I believe I only have the first expansion (Entrenchment) for it, so I do look forward to seeing how far this game has come since I first played it many years ago. The original still holds up pretty well, so I have high hopes.

    5) Galactic Civilizations 3; I don't know anything about this other than it being a 4x Space game. I guess I'll see how it compares to Stellaris.

    6) Ashes of the Singularity; never heard of it, though the name is quite pretentious sounding. I'm guessing it's another 4x space game.

Ashes of the Singularity is an RTS game.

You can get some quality mods for SoaSE: Rebellion, like Star Trek Armada 3 or Star Trek: Sacrifice of the Angels 2.

In regards to Galactic Civilization, the second game, IMO, is better than the third.

Thanks for the tip. I've actually been looking for a new RTS to play for awhile now, and they most seem to be a dying breed. There's no WC4, no AoE4, no new C&C. I actually find it kind of ironic that starcraft is the only one still going out of those four, since I've always found it to be the weakest of them. Anyways, I might give Ashes a try next.

    Yep, it's a shame.

But hey, Cossacks 3 is coming on the 20th of September, so there's that at least.

Blizzard is never letting go off its cash-cow. Never.

And in regards to Command & Conquer, would you really want one made by EA? Didn't you see what a fucking disaster Tiberium Twilight was? Westwood has been dead for 13 years now. There's no hope left for that franchise.

You're right. Last C&C I really enjoyed was RA2 and Yuri's Revenge. There was something fun about chaining together prism towers, as well as mind controlling people and chucking them into grinders to harvest them for resources.

I can't claim to have played all of the "recent" ones. I played Generals, which I found to be okay, but a bit uninspired. I did the campaign in Tiberium Wars as well, but I found the whole Scrin thing to be offputting, though I've always enjoyed the acting by Kane. I think I may have played RA3, but I can't honestly remember. So yeah, I'd rather not go back to those, and I would rather just replay RA1 or Tiberian Sun. Some of the custom packs for them are pretty fun, though it's been awhile since I've played either.

GalCiv 3 and SoaSE: Rebellion are both very fun games. I like to think of them as a the Civilisation and Total War games of the sci-fi genre.

    Also, obligatory KANE LIVES!

EDIT: Do let me know if Stardock have solved the problem of the Advent Illuminator being overpowered. It's been a long while since I played Sins beyond an hour or two's gaming time.

Anybody playing the Battlefielf 1 open beta? I'm downloading it now and I'm at 78% done.

Been hearing mostly mixed things about the game so far.

    Does anyone still play Warframe?

I realised last night I hadn't played in probably about a year (I remember the spacewing expansion, and did a few missions with that, I did Cryotic Front, Gatecrash, and I think the one after that, but that's it)... And I have no idea what's new in the game. Is there anything I should be looking out for?

Also, all my keybindings seem to have been altered. I didn't have any way to use melee attacks, apparently.

I played the alpha and had lots of fun. I especially like the animations to enter/change seat in most vehicles- No more teleportation between seats. Most vehicles need at least 2 people to be used properly, a tank is only full effective with 3.

The gunplay is solid and things feel a bit slower, at least on the alpha map. I.e. it's possible to play as infantry without being mowed down by a Heli/Jet/Boat/Tank. I think it's because tanks move slower, they are easier to flank and avoid.

Been playing the Battlefield One beta for a bit. Does anyone else experience the bug where clashing planes decide to breakdance in the middle of the desert?

Only real bug I've founmd in the beta was an entire server spawning with no weapons. Haven't found anything wrong with planes so far.

I got that one, was killed when I watched it. It took me by surprise and I think I stood for ten seconds just watching it.

The PS4Pro is $400 USD out November 11...

I think I'll pass unless it runs XV at 60fps... Not one mention of framerate, only 'enriched graphics' and 'HDR'.

I'm digging the exploration themes that they're apparently pushing.

Those jetpack animations need some polish tho. And I'm still waiting for any combat gameplay footage at all.

The next trailer is coming out November 7
