UNCHARTED: The Lost Legacy

 

I adore uncharted 4.

Overwatch is a better game.

 

So apparently Piranha Games (the company behind MechWarrior Online) is going to be making a new MechWarrior 5 Mercenaries, due out in 2018.

I am so ready.

Why would you think anything good can come from them after the shittastic disappointment that is MWO?

Especially after they forced the fans to stop developing and updating MWLL.

 

Uncharted 4 was more of the same. Fantastic same, but it didn't do much new. Unlike Witcher series which were one amazing jump to the next, Uncharted just improved what they had, no jumps.

Overwatch was The Game of this year. By far the most popular one released here and its impact was immense. Not an Online player, so don't know the technical aspects, but it's impact was huge.

 

Well, graphically at least MWO is decent-ish.

I figure knowing the fanbase, they'd find a way to mod the game to have a decent storyline.

Don't shatter mah dreamz.

 

For those of you who are fans:

The Legend of Heroes: Cold Steel III will be a PS4 Exclusive and will release in Fall 2017 in Japan.

Most likely won't see it here till 2019.

I've been playing Shadow Tactics: Blade of the Shogun

Classic stealth game with memorable characters, great level design, a solid story and a game that emphasizes strategy and planning over reflexes and instinct. A game for the methodical and the cautious. Do support the developer as they explore a niche that hasn't been seen in a while

 

Have you played the previous games in the series Jon? If not, you should if you love old school RPGs that focus on story.

The Trails in the Sky series is absolutely amazing. 10/10.

If you have a Vita or a PS3, following up with Trails of Cold Steel is a must.

 

Wondering if I should buy The Last Guardian or Overwatch. On one hand, TLG was made by the same people who made Shadow of Colossus, which tied for my favourite game with Chrono Trigger, but on the other hand Overwatch seems to be really fun, and I'd play it a lot longer.

 

Is anyone even excited about Mechwarrior 5 announcement?
I remember playing it as a kid and after 15 years we are finally getting a sequel.

 

NieR Automata demo is out on JPN PSN (it has all the english options). It's also imminent on US PSN (and I'm assuming AU/EU too).

Played it. I love the way it feels and it seems to be running at a smooth 60fps? I'm using a Pro.

Don't actually know anything about the game, but there's a moment in the demo where you rip the arm of a huge robot boss and beat him to death with it.

Take my money.

 

Considering this is Piranha Games? No. No excitement whatsoever.

 

Watching my girlfriend play Dark Souls is... Interesting. She's normally a very talented gamer, but just doesn't like controllers at all. Much prefers keyboard and mouse.

She is also very very aggressive and that... Doesn't work in Dark Souls.

 

Get her Bloodborne.

 

I think Bloodborne is $10 for PS4 subscribers right now. Considered getting it myself, but I have to beat FFXV and Tomb Raider before I can justify spending money on any other games, though I have a desire to purchase the Last Guardian.

 

I have bloodborne! We had intended to play it, except my brother's twin sister was over and the two monopolized the PS4 watching Netflix the entire day. The two of us were most put out.

In any event controllers aren't really her style. She has pretty terrible joints, so holding one is a bit of a pain for her.

Anyways, bloodborne is great but I'm still trying to nab The Last of Us for cheap.I've never played it and I have heard great things. Bought my ps4 on black Friday when it was $200 for a slim with Uncharted, only to discover I actually don't like Uncharted very much.

 

4 was my first time playing an Uncharted game, so I really can't say anything about previous installments, but I enjoyed the game quite a bit for a while. That said, I did trade it in almost immediately after finishing it despite the "allure" of an online multiplayer that I never tried. I thought the story and graphics were great, just wasn't intrigued by the fights so much.

You missed out on Last of Us -- it was free for PS4 users a few months ago. I tried it, but truthfully couldn't get into it, possibly because I played it on a harder difficulty to start. The zombies were pissing me off and I have a lot of difficulty playing first person games for very long. FPS always seem to wreck me after about 30 minutes.
