Read a story not too long ago, when I was browsing the archive, of what could be considered an evil Hagrid. Hagrid poisoned Harry for the greater good. In the thread that the story was posted, someone here added a different ending, which was also quite good.

I'm sure it was a one shot, but the story could of been on a site that wasn't ff.net.
