The 2005 posts are interesting to say the least, most of those fics would probably get flamed to hell and back if posted in For Review now

The Birth of Evil by DisobedienceWriter is the closest fit I can think of at the moment. Haven't really seen any Villain!Harrys worth mentioning otherwise, most of them justify Harry's behaviour with Manipulative!Dumbledore and over-dramatised abuse.

There are quite a few Dark!Harry smut-based stories, but most of them make him only into a self-serving bastard.

 

I'd love to read a counterpart of the "A Stranger in an Unholy Land". Just as the author made me skip over huge parts of the last few chapters with his incredibly annoying character of the silly teen boy Harry, the thought of what his counterpart would make out in the "present" world gives me a boner...

 

I completely agree, I wish someone would write what 'Evil Harry' from The Unholy Land would do in the Canon Universe.

Some of you forget how boring that would be.

For that matter, some of you forget how boring Unholy Land is. I literally had to force my way through no less than ten of the opening chapters before anything even remotely interesting happened, and then it was soon drowned in tweenangst.

Jono is no doubt an excellent writer, mechanically, but his huge swatches of boring alternating with fail, angst, and mediocre execution of what could otherwise be awesome points of plots or subplots leave me wanting more than he seems to be able to offer.

You want a good, believable evil Harry that can titillate? Big D's What Would Slytherin Harry Do. The best on the market, because traditional comic villainy just isn't marketable. Good evil is merely a blur of moral fiber with a liberal dash of narcissism, arrogance, egotism, and some self-interest.

 

You'd have to find someone else to write it though. Jono updated once every 6 months BEFORE he died.

Does andyone know any good, complete, novel lenght dark-evil fics where Harry is not emo? Preferably rated M, because i find kiddy rated stories tend to be kiddy romance stories.
