So I just saw this on steam and thought it was a brand new game. After a bit of research I found that it is about 1.5 years old and only just been added to steam. However I was very interested in the large free-form space universe that the game offers. And the apparently many different ways to get on by in the universe.

I think this is the sort of game I was looking for ever since I played Freelancer many years ago. I'd love to get people's opinions who have played the game or ideally still playing the game. Is it worth forking out the $25 for it now? Is the online community still thriving? Are there established servers and universes that I could join? Also, if anyone has used a joystick to play the game - how did that work out as that interested me a lot as well.

Finally, is there any other space games that I should get instead of or in addition to this? Preferably not EVE as I am not a fan of the p2p games. Thanks.

 

Wait 6 months and get it for five dollars in some sale it'll eventually end up in.
