    Rowling said there aren't any male veela. And the terms 'half-veela' etc. are never explicitly used either. So there are a handful of options how this problem can be solved; from no part-Veela existing to reproduction without males.

    Anyway. Original topic: It's too much AU when you (OP) feel like it is too much AU. If you have a lot of fun changing everything, then by all means. I don't have to read it if the changes don't appeal to me. Caveat: Don't be disrespectful of the source (that makes you MoreOrLessWrong by default).
