Just want to make this distinction clear since the fic posted was mega fail. The "Barely readable to almost good" thread was better then the library so we don't want too bad fics getting into it

I would place this on the almost good portion of the spectrum. On one hand - the premise is chalk full of cliches. Wunderlass seduces Harry via magical trunks and temporal abuse. On the other hand, the story flows fairly nicely, I kind of enjoy the OC's, and I like how they're killing off Death Eaters.

I would say that this is Recycling Bin worthy - a pleasant read for someone who is out of stuff to read.

In all seriousness, I dub this 'readable'. The grammar is surprisingly up to par and the writing, above average. But the story itself fails to entertain, which in my humble opinion is grounds enough to call it a mind-numbing read. You'll end up loving this Super!Harry, or hating his guts by the time you're 10 chapters through - I feel more inclined to concur with the latter. Either way, the lack of conflict, and the author's commendable ability to reiterate every cliché in Potterverse, will likely bore you into clicking the little 'x' button in your browser.

Starts in the Chamber and has just started the summer before 3rd year. Interesting enough story, nothing groundbreaking but its something to read. Not good enough or long enough for For Review/the Library. Author wrote regarding the pairings: "The seeds for Tonks start in third year and fourth year Fleur shows up."

I must say, this fic has me very interested. It is only 2 chapters long so I have no real idea of where it is going. However the writing is generally clean and concise with minor errors here and there. Not to mention I enjoy most of the dialogue between General Greengrass and Harry. Not to mention the one interaction between Harry and Daphne makes me think this could be one of the few Harry/Daphne fics done right. Not some bullshit Harry falls head over heels for Gin...oops I mean Daphne. Oh yeah, I've always been a sucker for Detective stories. Still it's rather short as of now so we'll see how it goes. I have high hopes though.

The entire fic is just a rewrite of "The Big Sleep" with the names changed. Entire paragraphs have been quoted. Fail.

 

Gah, Sharptooth. I briefly read this guy's Harry/Gabby story. I quit when hermit Harry (who had hidden himself away and hadn't touched magic in X amount of years) returned to England to immediately take control of his organization. Oh, and Umbridge was the arch-villain. There was no parody involved.

Long story short, I'm not surprised this guy plagiarized a story. From the little I've read, he couldn't plot himself out of a paper bag.

Old story, has not been updated in a long time and currently on hiatus. Its been sometime since I have read it, but from what I remember it was decent. Not good enough to make the library but perhaps the recycle bin.
